  • Emma, this is very nice! Love it. I have been working on a few samples with a similar look piecing together different image blocks and blending the background colors but I discovered that it is much harder in the original multi-lesson format. It works very well in the newer microlearning format I assume because it's all in one page - the images seem to adapt better to different devices. In the original multi-lesson format, especially portrait mobile and tablet views, the images get cut off or overlap. Any tips on how to rectify that?

Thanks Christy! It definitely does work best in the microlearn format. To be honest I've found the only way around it is trial and error, trying out different image proportions and constantly switching between devices. If I'm doing a header style image, I try and keep everything as central as possible, to avoid things being cut off when moving between devices.
  • Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this. Would you also be willing to share what it looks like on the back end? (Just echoing what others have said.) It would help me learn how I can do something similar.

Thanks Martha! I've left a comment below with a link to a video, where I talk through how I created this build :)

I see - does that mean that you created the storyline blocks and inserted them one after the other, and made the background of them the same colour so they would blend in?

So there's only around 4 Storyline blocks in the whole course- the rest is Rise functionality. But yes, the Storyline blocks have the same b/ground colour as the Rise block to allow them to blend.

This is a Rise course uses embedded Storyline blocks and custom illustrations. :)

I think they designed the tests with Storyline and put some GIF images in blocks. Looks great tho.
