Automatically Insert AI Audio onto Timeline After Generation
Idea:
Automatically place AI-generated audio directly onto the timeline after it is created, removing the need for a separate insert step.
Current limitation:
After generating AI audio, the file is not automatically added to the timeline. Authors must manually insert the audio, which adds unnecessary steps to the workflow.
This becomes repetitive and inefficient when:
- Creating narration across multiple slides
- Iterating on audio content
- Working on large courses with many voiceovers
The extra “Insert” step interrupts flow and slows down development.
Suggested improvement:
Automatically drop generated AI audio onto the current slide timeline immediately after creation. Optional enhancements could include:
- Placing the audio at the start of the timeline by default
- A toggle setting (auto-insert on/off) for user preference
Use case:
When generating narration for slides, authors can instantly preview timing and make adjustments without needing to manually insert the audio each time.
Benefit:
- Removes unnecessary manual steps
- Speeds up audio creation workflow
- Improves efficiency when working at scale
- Creates a smoother, more intuitive authoring experience
