Password or lock a quiz

My program has several courses that I would like to have the quiz locked until they complete the whole course.

Is there a way to do that?

  • Hi Skip_Paetz ,

If you're using Rise 360 and the quiz is placed at the end of the course, you may be able to achieve this by enabling Restricted Navigation. This requires learners to progress through the course in order before they can access later lessons, including the quiz.

Could you share a little more about your setup? For example, is the quiz located at the end of the course, or are you looking for a way to independently lock or password-protect the quiz until certain requirements are met?

That additional context will help us better understand what you're trying to accomplish.

The course is an Instructor lead course that requires live participation.  Students should have access to the material prior to the course.  I would prefer to lock the quiz so they have to attend and pay attention to the instructor.

        Hi Skip_Paetz,

Thanks for sharing the additional context. Great to see that Judy and Eric have been helping you!

At this time, Rise 360 doesn't have a way to password-protect or independently lock a Quiz until certain conditions are met.

I've submitted this as a feature request on your behalf, and we'll notify you if we release a future enhancement that helps.

  • Skip_Paetz: That's an interesting situation. Here's a potential option: Keep the content and the quiz separate. Give students access to the content prior to the live course. Don't share the link to the quiz until the end of the live session.

Another option: Put the quiz in a Storyline block. Have the Storyline set up to require a password to advance to the quiz slides. Don't give out the password until the end of the live session.

Thank you....my team just started to learn Storyline.  I like Option 2.  it was the same process we used with our previous program.
