Request: Rise Quiz branching based on results

I'd like another option for what happens at the end of a Quiz in Rise. The settings should include branching to different locations based on the results.

  • For example, if the user fails the quiz, clicking continue would take them back to a designated lesson. In other words, they would have to go through the content again.
  • If they pass, clicking continue would take them to the next lesson, or a specified lesson.

The settings could also allow designating that the branching option for failure to pass wouldn't show up until after a specified number of attempts. (Of course, the Continue-after-passing button should show up whenever the user passes.)

I have submitted this as an official Feature Request (Product feature request | Articulate). But I thought I'd add it here with the hope of getting additional support for this.

  • Hello JudyNollet,

Thanks for sharing this idea and for already submitting it through the feature request form! I can see how quiz-based branching would make Rise 360 courses more adaptive and help guide learners to the right next step based on their results.

I’ve added your post here to the same request so our product team can see how valuable this would be for your course design workflow. We’ll keep tracking interest in this feature.

Thanks for chiming in, ValerieChild808! Since you mentioned this is something you need in Rise, too, I’d love to learn a little more about what you’re hoping to accomplish with quiz-based branching.

      • Can you tell me about the kind of course or learner workflow where quiz-based branching would be most useful?
      • How are you handling learners who don’t pass a quiz today, and what challenges does that create for you?
      • If you could send learners somewhere different based on their quiz results, what would you want that experience to look like?

Those details will help us better understand what this capability could enable for you.
