Undock Canvas

Just wondering if it would be possible to apply a solution I already experienced with other apps and proved working really well.
At this time Storyline allows to undock menus such as timeline, notes, triggers, and so on, keeping anyway the canvas fixed within the application.
In my opinion and as per my experience, this is a double limitation:
- on one hand the size of the canvas keep being limited within the application frame, rather than having the possibility to be expanded to full screen;
- on the other hand, menus which can be undocked, require clicking, dragging and scrolling but, if undocked, they are not anchored anywhere and can be moved, magnified or minimized unintentionally.
It would prove much more comfortable to be able undock the canvas, leaving its space in the application frame available to increase the size of the menus.
The undocking of menu can be left as well, should somebody feel more confortable with the solution already in place.

    Thanks for taking the time to share this. That’s a fair point.

    What you’re describing around undocking the canvas and having more control over how workspace elements are arranged would definitely offer more flexibility, especially for larger screens or more complex builds. I can see how the current setup can feel limiting when the canvas is fixed and panels don’t have a structured way to stay anchored when undocked.

    At the moment, this isn’t something that’s supported, but it’s a thoughtful suggestion around improving workspace customization and usability. I’ve shared your feedback with our product team and added your use case to our tracking.
