Hello, from Calgary, AB, Canada
I have been creating e-learning for over 15 years, working both in I.T. and as an Instructional Designer. I am in the process, out of necessity, to create an online portfolio. I cannot use anything from my previous employer and am having to start from scratch.
So, I have just completed my first e-Learning challenge. Where do I post it? Who hosts SCORM files. It has to free or close to as who can pay big bucks when they have been laid off.
This whole process is anxiety driven for me as I have not had to do this previously! ANY and all help is welcome.

Hi ClaireGibson,
I'm so sorry to hear about the layoff. I know that's stressful, but you've definitely come to the right place. We have many members who've built portfolios from scratch and are happy to share what worked for them.
A few resources:
- Review 360 and Quick Share are both popular ways to share projects.
- Take a look through the Share Examples Hub. It's a great place to get inspiration from other projects and see the different ways members are sharing their work. If you see something you like, don't hesitate to ask the creator. People here are very generous with advice!
- Here's an article highlighting a few member portfolios that might give you some ideas. I'll tag a few of those members as well in case they have any advice to share: ThaddaeusSmith ded2 mmathe
- Lastly, we ran an e-learning challenge focused on portfolios, with some great examples and different approaches.
I hope this helps! I'm sending lots of good thoughts your way as you navigate this transition.

Welcome to the ELH community.
Being in between roles is hard. I was there for 18-months before landing my current gig. My heart goes out to you during this time. 💟
Pace yourself as you grow your portfolio in this new chapter. And please be intentional about your self-care during this part of your journey.
Katie-Jordan called out some great resources. If you need to vent, feel free to tag me in your post.
