Hello! I'm a trial user wondering where to start with e-learning challenges.

Hi everyone!

I'm a teacher trying to figure out how to quickly turn into an e-learning designer.  I am very overwhelmed and need to find very quick and simple challenges I can try to build and as I do, increase the level of difficulty.  Does anyone have any ideas on where I should start in the e-challenges?  They don't seem to be in chronological order?  I tend to be a very systematic learner.. help!  Thanks:)

  • The challenge page features the challenges in reverse chronological order, so the most recent two challenges are posted at the top of the page: E-Learning Challenges | Articulate - Community. Those are the most active because they're current, but you can participate in any previous topic you like.

Articulate posted a good list of recommended challenges for getting started: Getting Started with E-Learning Challenges 2025 | Articulate - Community Those challenges cover common projects you'll design in e-learning.

Are you using Rise or Storyline as your primary authoring tool? Do you have specific types of projects you would like to learn to build?

right now I am using Rise.  I would like to just get comfortable creating basic training modules, practicing using the interactive functions and maybe video and voice.  Is it crazy difficult to actually create my own videos for a 1:1 conversation?  Will the AI feature help to do that?

        Hi CLOanciq!

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes and authoring in Articulate 360!

I understand getting started can feel overwhelming. Currently, AI Assistant in Rise 360 can help by generating Text-to-Speech narration. AI Video is not yet supported, however it has made it to our product roadmap. We're still tracking user interest, and I've included your voice in this feature request.

We'll be sure to notify you as soon as we have updates to share!

  • Welcome CLOanciq

Montsea's suggestions are all extremely sound.

I'm relatively new to Articulate myself (I've been here for about nine months and am slowly building my skills with Rise and Storyline), and I wanted to jump in and share that for me, the thing that helped me get my head around all of the basic functionality of Storyline was learning to build a tabs interaction. There are a few different options for learning this skill based on your learning style—but if you pop "tabs interaction" into the search bar here in E-Learning Heroes you should see a bunch of trainings on that.

If I recall correctly I think I found this training that david led to be particularly helpful, everyone on our team is amazing but I just personally find the way David explains things to be super easy to ingest. Good luck and hope to continue seeing your name pop up in ELH as you work through some of the challenges!
