Hi, Noele, and congrats on the new gig! Happy to (virtually) meet you! 
I'm a Program Manager on the Field Enablement team at Dolby - I handle our LMS for Content Creators and internal LMS for our Field Applications Engineers, who work closely with our licensees/partners like Apple, Sony, Tidal, Paramount, etc. 
I have a technical background in film/video/music production, and kind of backed into this role a few years ago.
What genre of movies do you like? I can provide all kinds of recommendations!

    So nice to meet you, thanks for the warm welcome! Working at Dolby and having the background you have, I'll BET you have a bunch of great recs. I like all kinds of movies, but in the last couple of months here are a few I've really enjoyed: 

    • Just rewatched a favorite, "Tampopo" this week
    • I know it's cliche, but I watched "2001: A Space Odyssey" for the first time recently and was totally blown away 
    • I really enjoyed "Didi" that just came out this year! 

    Enjoying checking out the library of courses you shared, too—do you work with a team to create those or are you the primary one developing and building those?

      I work with a (very small) team of SMEs who support the Dolby tools/software used by content creators to create those courses. It's a highly-collaborative global effort.

      Quick thoughts based off of your movie list - 

      • "Didi" (which I have been meaning to see) makes me think you might like "Slacker" by Richard Linklater. It's a bit of a late-GenX time capsule at this point, but a classic one. Follow it up with "Dazed and Confused" for the 70's...
      • "Tampopo" leads me to both of Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns ("A Fistful of Dollars", "For A Few Dollars More", "The Good, The Bad, And the Ugly"), which "Tampopo" satirizes, but also the fantastic "Jiro Dreams of Sushi"...
      • And if you liked "2001" - Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" is probably my best modern suggestion to follow it up. Plus, the first 5 minutes are a serious test if you have a home theater setup with subwoofer. Another classic in the genre is Tarkovsky's "Solaris".
