It takes a village...

Hello there

I’m Claire – I design and deliver learning that actually makes a difference in the real world.

My background is in leadership development, coaching, and large-scale training programmes across corporate environments (including BMW) and national initiatives like Help to Grow. I’m all about practical, usable learning—not theory that sits on a shelf.

Right now, I’m stepping into something that really matters to me: leading within a non-profit focused on life skills and development for children, parents, and teachers.

This is a new space for me, so I’m here to learn fast and build smart—especially when it comes to:

  • Creating engaging eLearning for younger audiences
  • Supporting parents through learning
  • Designing content that actually lands in schools and communities

If you’ve got non-profit experience, education insight, or have built eLearning for families or schools, I’d genuinely love to hear what works (and what doesn’t!).

Looking forward to learning from you all—and hopefully contributing along the way.

Claire 😊

    MaryEmma_Gary, thanks for the ping.

ClaireHarris802, kudos in advance to you for taking on such important work.💓

I'm happy to chat further offline, if you like. Below is a bit more context about my non-profit work.

My non-profit experience focused on high school students aging out of foster care.

At the time, my program director pinpointed a disconnect. There were resources available to students who were nearing the foster care cutoff age in our county. But the disparate information (city, county, state, federal, and private) wasn't easily accessible to students or school staff eager to support them.

    Ultimately, we built...

    • workshops educating school staff on resources and how to connect students to them
    • a website that served as an information hub for educators and students
    • boots on the ground - we visited many high schools in the county and other institutions (e.g., detention centers), spreading the word about available resources and filling gaps where needed (e.g., housing stipends, emergency shelter due to eviction, school enrollment, etc.).

The org still exists, and since my time there, it has grown into a viable and critical community partner.

I love your focus!  Life skills and development are one of my passions, I have a brother with special needs.  I'd be open to collaborating or just chatting around the topic.  Good luck and welcome!
