Hi Jane,
You don't need to insert it or anything. It's just a regular Storyline project file. You can download it, open it, and edit it anyway you'd like. Let me know if you have more questions.
THANKS!
Tim
LOVE this template!!!
It looks like the template posted here is incomplete though. The one I got from the dropbox seems to be different than this one.
Thanks for sharing!!
Tim,
I just leveraged this template for a project that had a very quick turn-around time and it turned out great! Thanks so much for your work on this and sharing. Much appreciated.
What a beautiful template! Thanks a lot!!!
I am trying to adjust it to my own theme colours etc, and I have a question: where/how can I adjust the information on the 3rd slide (the timeline)? I'd like to change the yellow color that appears when I click the timeline, and also the information that appears, but I don't see it in a layer. Thanks in advance for any help!
Thanks for the nice comments Liesbeth. I'm not sure which area of the course you're referring to. I can't think of an area in the course where I used anything in yellow. Can you send me a screen shot of the area you're trying to edit. You can send it directly to me at sladetim@gmail.com
Nice template ! I love it !
Small question, where can I find information to add the option of the transition slide (previous slide) as show in this Template ?
Gah! Help! I love, love, LOVE the template, you did an awesome job! I'm just having a difficult time with the timeline on slide 3. I can't see any layers except the main one. I also don't see elements on the timeline for the text boxes (I've only hidden the group from the previous slide, everything else is visible and editable). I do see the buttons, but those change state when clicked, it doesn't show anything. Finally, I see the text on slide 4, but when I change those the text only changes as it transitions. Help?
Hi Laura,
Thanks for all of the kind words! I believe I embedded the timeline text boxes as a state of the timeline button. Check there and let me know. I hope that makes sense!
Tim
Hi Nickey,
I just noticed this. Make sure you unlock the items in the timeline. That will give you the ability to edit. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Tim,
Wonderful template. Do you have a tutorial on how to build out the transition slides? I'd like to utilize your template, but when moving the order of the slides around, the transitions don't make sense. Would love to help. Thanks in advance!
Hi Kim,
Thanks for the kind words. I did another template (this one: www.timslade.com/spring-green-elearning-template--may-3%2c-2013.html ) where I used the same effect. I did a video tutorial on the transition effect here: https://www.screenr.com/Y497
Thanks Tim for the link to your tutorial on transitions. Can you help me with one more thing. How did you capture the 'previous slides' actions to exit the slide as the currently slides animations entered? It's the previous slide transitions going out at the beginning of the timeline that I am stuck on. Again, many thanks for your help.
Hi Kim,
All of those items from the "previous slide" that you see animating off are just duplicated on the new slide. I have them set to animate off right when the new slide starts.
Take a look at the timeline for the slide and you should see a group called "previous slide items" or something like that. That will contain all of the items that are animating off really quickly before the new stuff animates in.
Let me know if that still doesn't make sense. If not, I'd be happy to hop on a screen share with you to walk to you through it. Just let me know.
I am using the first version of Storyline, Update 6. I keep getting the error message "This project cannot be opened. It may have been created in a newer version of Storyline."
It might be helpful to indicate on the downloads page which version templates are for now that Storyline 2 is out.
Thanks! :-)
