Let me process your comment for a moment.... Okay, I'm back. Sarah, that means a lot to me. Your work is some of the best and most creative I've seen. Thank you:-)
Superb...
Good work !!!
I am also creating elearning courses which include Adaptive learning, Branching Simulation, WBT, nuggets, micro learning etc.

Thank you Bhavesh! I tried your link but nothing's loading. I'd love to see what you put together. Can you verify the link is working correctly? Thank you, again.
That's wonderful, Edwina! Dials are one of my favorite interactive objects in Storyline. I'd love to see what you're doing. You could share your work in one of the two recent dials challenges: https://community.articulate.com/articles/using-dials-in-elearning/ and https://community.articulate.com/articles/using-dials-to-design-interactive-infographics Thank you again for the amazing feedback:-)
I'm glad you like it, Vish. To change the background image, click the image on the slide and open your states panel. You'll see the background images added to the 4 custom states for each slide layer.
You can edit the states directly on the slide and swap out the images or open Media Library and replace images from there.
Let me know if you have any further questions. Happy to help!
Fantastic work - and I love that you love and appreciate the comments, I have to continually remind my group of how good my work is (only joking). I am unable to open the downloaded file, can you tell me where did you get the images that you used on the left? Tks, Jean
Thanks, Jean! Sometimes browser settings cause issues with downloads. One thing you could try is right-clicking the download button and choosing Save Link As...
I uploaded the file to my droplr account where you can also try downloading: https://d.pr/f/zT30MO Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll try something else.
I LOVE this as well, and was inspired to integrate your design into our science climate curriculum, thank you! One question that I have is, how did you get the background / states slide to fade in and out? I replaced the background images and can't seem to figure out how to do that? I was wondering the same for the images on the layers, but somehow I didn't lose their ability to fade in like I did with the background. Any help would be awesome, thank you!!
I'm not seeing what the HOTSPOT (over the numbers) is for?
And I can't show an image of it (looks like all the formatting options went away) , soooo... its the greenish hotspot rectangle of over the step numbers.?
I don't (think) I see a hotspot trigger/action?
Thanks,
Alison
Hi Alison -
Thanks for your questions.
The hotspot covers the step graphics selected states. I added the selected states to create the active toggle effect using button sets. Give this a try: disable the hotspot and preview the example. Now click each of the numbered steps.
I could have used custom active states for each step graphic but that's more work:-)
I love this Slide, I am a novice to Storyline and Articulate and I understand some of the functionality but I am having a hard time adjusting some of the objects. I want the dial to go to 5 steps and while I can change the end value I cannot adjust the step value. Can someone assist? Thank you.
Ok I built my own dial. However I am getting messed up when it comes to the "change the state of background image to choice one if its value =1.
So when you turn the dial that image is changing on the left hand side, which I assume is created and embedded as background image on the base layer. How was this made and how do you get it to change as you turn the dial? Thank you.
Great examples. I am trying to create a branching scenario for a law class. Would like to do it adaptive release- finish the first part then release the rest of the class. Also, wanted to add in a branching scenario about search and seizure. If they can search a locker, go here. But if they are not allowed to search then display reasons why and go here. Can you please share your scenario? It does not load. Thanks!
hi Montse, are the background image on base layer or on separate layers? is using state, what control you'v eused to control Show State # when you show a specific layer?
Hi Erlina! I took a look at Montse's file to see how to edit the images. On the base layer, you can click the background image and then click Edit States. From there, you can replace any of the images with your own. Here's a link to a screenshot for reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/147Up4nbqtipkDHndb2KzkSPkTOyYrQPn/view?usp=sharing
I hope that helps!
Love the Cupcake Ipsum, it makes me smile! How do you get it to generate in articulate? Do you have to generate it on a website like the ones suggested in the article below, or is there a way to generate it in articulate programs?
