Make sure you’re doing everything your dog needs to thrive with this “dog care 101” guide. You’ll get to see many of the powerful features in Rise in action, such as the Storyline block and cool GIF cover images.
Thank you, Grace! I found this video on YouTube showing how to remove the lesson headers. I used a different text editor tool, but the process is the same.

Thank you for sharing the link - mind blown. I'm still in trial phase of 360 - love Rise, but wasn't sure how I could customize when needed. This helps a ton.
Glad that helped, Carrie! You brought me back to when I first explored Rise. My mind continues to be blown. :) If you haven't seen it, here's an article on how to customize Rise courses. I also included a link to see Rise Version History since Articulate is constantly adding new awesome features.

Sarah,
This was very creative. I especially love the animation to cause the dog to wag his tail, the cat to appear, etc. Well done!
Best regards,
Carol

Christophe, your comment made my day. I wish I could share it...I plan on doing a How-To video on how I developed pieces of it. Is there anything specific you want me to cover?
Thanks so much, Katie! I actually used Storyline to create the gif headers. I edited the images in Photoshop and brought them into Storyline to animate them.
Hi Rachel! I included two sorting activities.
In the Safety section, I used the drag and drop Rise block.
In the Wellness section, I created the drag and drop using a Storyline block so I could add customized feedback and images. To keep the consistency of look and feel, I created it to look and behave similarly to the built-in Rise drag and drop block in the Safety section.
This is fantastic. It's amazing how the animated gifs add so much to making the course feel more engaging and really gives extra life to the topics. Great job!
Hi,
Can you advise how you got the expanding/shrinking circles highlighting the areas to click on, on the Wellness slide please?
Many thanks in advance!
Thanks Sarah! You've just helped me figure out how to get them in Storyline 360 as well! It makes my piece look so much more professional than my work around!
Hi Sarah,
I really enjoyed the interaction you created! It is very clean and easy to follow :)
I am just wondering how you made the cards with fruits under "Food" section to flip?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you, PCG Learning! I used the Rise Flashcard grid option to create the flip effect. Adam Schwartz gives a sweet overview of the flashcards here: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/c58927ae-4ade-4aac-bf16-f2408486b0c7/review
Sarah - Very nice! I particularly like how the menu circle markers progress around the circle to show completion of the lesson/chapter; then fill in color with a checkmark when completed. Is it a built in, or custom page setup with triggers, changing states of the markers? Am just learning Rise, so any hints are appreciated!
Thank you, Steve! The menu circle progress markers are built in and part of Articulate's forward-thinking design. They really hit the mark on that one. :) I obviously like this feature too!
Greeting Sarah,
Can I make like this one using Storyline 3?
I mean like the "scroll" , "progress bar"
for Progress Bar I could use JS but for the "scroll" is that only works when we use Rise 360?
Thanks for your kind assistance
Anderson
Hi Sarah,
I know this example is 2 years old now, but I was interested in your use of GIFs as headings. I'm specifically interested to know how you were able to make them responsive when viewing on a tablet or mobile device.
My experience with using GIFs in Rise is that they are not responsive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Leonard
Hi Sarah,
What an awesome course with RISE! love it!!
I do have some questions though as I am trying to use some of your ideas -
1. How did you customize Process Interactivity Labels? Default is "Step #" that you have changed to "Day #." I know to customize labels from Settings, but that takes effect for the whole module. How can I customize it only for one interactivity?
2. In "What activities do dogs enjoy?" I see the images first and the text below the carousel. The presentation is different from what is in-built in RISE and something similar I need for one of my courses. Is it a SL block?
Sudipta
Hi Sudipta! Sorry for the late reply.
1. For the Process Interactivity, I used the Gallery Carousel block. The Day 1 text is actually part of the image. I just designed it to look the same as the Interactive Process block for cohesion. With recent updates, you can now change the process block step label to your own custom text.
2. As for the activities dogs enjoy, I also used the Gallery Carousel block. If you edit the interaction, you can make similar edits to the text to get the same appearance.
I hope that helps!
HI Sarah -
I know this is an older post, but we're working on a project where we'd like to have an animated image in the cover photo (where you have the dog pushing down the cat). We're having some difficulty figuring out what the size of the animated piece should be. We're creating an animation in SL 360 and converting it to a GIF. No matter what size we try to publish the video to in SL or convert to in the tool, everything is too big. We've even tried making the actual objects on the slide smaller - nothing works.
What was the size of your original animations in SL? What were the settings used in the GIF converter to ensure proper sizing? (We're using EZGIF.com.) The image is also pixelated, which we think is related to size but don't know for sure. Can you share some additional ... Expand

Thank you!!
Hi Laurie! Sounds like a fun project you're working on! It has been a while since I've worked on this project, so I'll do my best to share as much as I remember. I ended up using a story size of 2047x585 and then using Camtasia to screen record it (Publish to Video wasn't available at the time) using the dimensions 1680x479 and then saved it as a GIF. Generally, cover photos with a 1:3 aspect ratio look best in the Rise 360 cover photo area. For example, you could use an image with these dimensions: 1,000 pixels x 3,000 pixels. It can be a bit tricky adding animations and movement as things shift to make it responsive, so be sure to test it. Hope that helps!
This is amazing!! Is there a template somewhere about removing the code for the headers? I haven't been able to get this quite right but it seems once I have it saved as a template then I will be able to replicate it. **Disclaimer-- new user here.
Thanks, Stacy! It's been a while since I last worked on this project, so I don't recall the exact steps. I do remember following this video on YouTube that shows how to remove the Rise 360 lesson headers:

I hope that helps!
