Challenge Recap
7 TopicsPractice P.A.S.S
This interaction was built as a storyblock in a Rise. After a person learn's what P.A.S.S. is then "practice". The original version had a 30 second timer so the stakes were high! This version forces the person to start over if they answer the step incorrectly. I just completed my first E-Learning Challenge from David Anderson—Challenge #508: creating a short, effective training module to teach the PASS method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) for fire extinguisher use. I built the course in Rise 360, leaning on the AI Assistant to help me outline the content. As a first-timer, I wanted to keep it simple and practical, focusing on what would actually help learners retain the steps. Here’s what I included: 🧯 Step-by-step blocks to break down each action clearly 🔄 A drag-and-drop activity to help reinforce the correct order 🧠 A quick quiz to check understanding I kept the module lightweight and approachable—something that could be used in onboarding or a quick safety refresher. With more time, I’d love to explore a more immersive or scenario-based version. ✨ Big takeaway: Even with simple tools, thoughtful design can make a big impact. And starting small is a great way to learn what works! 🔗 Here’s the course I created Would love any feedback or ideas for taking this further!PASS: Rescue Co-Workers
Here's a quick overview of the PASS process so you can rescue your co-workers. Click link to view demo. About Me I love helping people learn to use the Articulate software to meet their needs at work. I especially like to help those new instructional designers who are trying their best to get a handle on things. I regularly contribute to the training team's blog where we assemble all sorts of tips and tricks. Follow it to stay up to date. I post every Wednesday to Articulate's company blogwhere I share more general instructional design tips. I used to write the Rapid E-learning Blog. Still lots of good tips & tricks in there. Connect with me on LinkedIn and follow my YouTube for more tips & tricks.PASS Method
It's been a while since I had time to contribute to the challenges. Here is my super quick build for the PASS Method. I liked the AI Editorial image for an extinguisher and fire, easy to edit in PS to cut apart to work with the animation. https://360.articulate.com/review/content/d23b0c33-30c5-4bfa-a324-b49cc81c6feb/review
