18 TopicsBest Fonts to Use
Hi, I'm brand new to Articulate and I have a few trainings I created using Canva that I rather not completely rebuild. When I upload the deck to Storyline there are a few fonts from Canva that Storyline doesn't have. Is there a list of acceptable fonts that I can find somewhere? TIA :) NovaNae33Views0likes3CommentsHow to Indicate Audio is Available to the User
We are looking for some guidance/best practices on informing the user when audio is available: When audio contains more details than displayed on the screen. How do you let your users know that? For example, if the block has header, (small paragraph of info), then list of bullet items followed by the audio at the bottom. I saw the attached note in a training and love it but it doesn't meet our question. Also, do you suggest something used throughout the course or just on the intro slide? Thank you!59Views0likes6CommentsInstructional Design for Financial Services: Lessons from the UAE
Hello Articulate Community, I’m reaching out to connect with fellow learning designers, educators, and organizations exploring fresh ways to drive professional development through impactful e-learning. I’m an Instructional Designer based in Dubai, specializing in designing and developing training solutions and digital learning experiences using Articulate tools. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to scale large-scale training programs across the UAE, particularly in the financial sector, including banks and insurance companies. What makes my approach unique is the balance between instructional creativity and scalability. I’ve not only crafted engaging modules but also rolled out end-to-end learning journeys, covering classroom, digital, and blended formats, ensuring they align with compliance standards, industry regulations, and organizational goals. Some areas I’m passionate about include: Designing custom e-learning modules (SCORM-compliant) that seamlessly integrate into existing LMS. Building training frameworks that can scale from a single team to entire institutions. Creating learning content that bridges complex financial concepts with learner-friendly, practical delivery. I’m now exploring freelance opportunities to collaborate with organizations that want to reimagine their learning, scale their programs, and maximize learner engagement. If your organization is looking for instructional design expertise with proven UAE financial sector experience, I’d be happy to connect and discuss how we can work together. Feel free to reach out here or connect directly. Looking forward to learning and collaborating with this inspiring community!47Views0likes0CommentsPowerPoint Meets AI: Testing 5 Motion Models
When it comes to adding AI motion, many designers bounce from one model to the next, often frustrated by strange results. Some eLearning apps don’t give the motion we want natively, and others take too long to configure, making it hard to know where to start. So, I tested 5 AI models on the same slide with the same prompt to see how each performed. The results were surprising: one nailed the physics, another went off into odd morphs, and a few missed the mark entirely. The lesson? Every model has strengths, but the right fit depends on your design goals and willingness to experiment. Hi Articulate heroes, I wanted to highlight one very fast but fun-looking way to create timers for interactive projects. I've learned about this way from "Gamification Series; 05: Creating Tension with Timers." You can check out these amazing webinars Gamification series, and there was a few different ways to add timers to projects. I used it in my recent project "Cooking Frienzy" - Jeopardy-style cooking-game. (btw you can check out the full game: Cooking Frienzy So, here are the steps: 1) Create / find a "timer" picture - it could be any image with transparent background what works for your theme (in my case it is "Pomodoro" timer, made with AI help, saved as .png ) 2) Add this image as a picture (insert an image). 3) Go to Animation tab 4) Choose Exit Animation - "Wipe", go to "Effect Options" - "From Right". Set the animation timer for whatever time you need (10 sec., 30 sec., 1 min etc.) 5) Set triggers to what will happen after the timer is done (animation completed): i.e. jump to the next slide, show "result-fail" etc. 6) Preview and adjust if needed 🤞200Views3likes5CommentsMega-thread: character pose sets you're willing to share?
Hey all—I recently saw this excellent topic from ThomasWelsh on finding a wide enough range of characters with differences in expression and pose, and it got me thinking about a fun crowd-sourced community project: I bet there are many members of E-Learning Heroes who have character series they've made themselves, using photography or animation (or even AI!), that they'd be willing to share. What if we used this thread to pull together all of those character sets in one handy place? Rules of the road: Only share character sets you have personally made, have the right to share, and would be happy to have others use. (In other words, please don't share licensed characters or libraries you bought a copy of). If you download and use someone else's character set you found here, make sure to attribute their work and leave a comment thanking them 😃 Sharing examples & files is one of my favorite ways that y'all use this community, and I'm excited to see what we can come up with together here!120Views0likes5CommentsCharacter Expression/Pose Series Using Photo Characters?
I have a common problem in many of my e-learning projects. I want to have a photographic character, say a man at a desk on the phone, looking happy. I then want a version of him with an angry expression. I then want a version of him with an exhausted expression. I want to choose the age, race, etc. In addition, I want to be able to easily change the background, etc. Trying to find this kind of a character series has been difficult. I have resorted to finding stock video and then grabbing frames out of the video that represent the expressions. But I cannot adjust the backgrounds very easily. Does anyone know of an AI tool where you can create a photographic character, and then show the character in multiple poses/expressions/etc. Thanks for any advice!107Views1like5CommentsStock Image Licencing.
Hi All, This may have been previously asked but I can't find anything that answers the question I have. Essentially, I work for a company that produces off-the-shelf learning materials, and we utilise stock images (such as those from Shutterstock) to bring our courses to life. We've been contacted by a client who would like us to create some bespoke modules for them. Normally, this isn't an issue as we would be the host of the content on our own LMS; as such, we are able to retain access to the imagery, and as a by-product, our licence covers this. However, the client has requested not only access to the course output, which will be available on their own LMS, but has also requested the Project (SL360) files in order to maintain the courses themselves moving forward. My question would be has anyone experienced this before (I know there must be hundreds of freelancers here) - If so what can you tell me about stock licencing issues that may be encountered when attempting a project of this nature, furthermore, if anyone has any experience in doing the above what are some potential pitfalls to watch out for? Thanks in advance. John.29Views0likes0Comments
