Option for multiple Rise quizzes to report to the LMS
Rise does not allow this functionality - multiple quizzes within a Rise course reporting to the LMS. It only allows course tracking based on 'course completion' or based on a 'quiz result' from a single quiz only. Wouldn't it make sense to allow tracking on all quizzes (either separately or combined)? What is the point of allowing multiple quizzes, if only the results for one can be tracked? If we as developers cannot track all quizzes then we may as well just use Knowledge Checks. A KC may be nice for the learner, but doesn't provide any data to the developer. The answer data (questions and learner selection regarding answer options) from all quizzes surfaces within the LMS report, so why can't the score % data? Articulate, surely this is something to consider in 2026 for Rise 360? Thanks.Rise 360's New "Update Content" Feature: My First Impressions ✨
I stumbled into a new beta feature in Rise 360 this morning during an early jam session, and I'm genuinely excited about it: Update Content, tucked behind the little pencil icon in the top right of the course editor. ✏️ Here's the pitch. You type what you want changed, and it updates text across your whole course or in specific lessons and blocks. No more clicking into every single lesson to fix one recurring typo or awkward phrase. Why This Actually Matters If you've built more than a couple of Rise courses, you know the drill. You finish a course, a SME flags that "utilize" should be "use" everywhere, or leadership wants a friendlier tone in the intro blocks, and suddenly you're clicking into every lesson and hitting Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F) to search for the phrase, one lesson at a time. It's not hard work, just tedious, repetitive work that eats time you'd rather spend on the parts of design that actually need your brain. Update Content ships with four ready-made prompts to get you started: Find and replace terms — swap a word or phrase everywhere at once Change the tone — shift the whole course warmer, more formal, more concise, whatever you need Remove jargon — flag and simplify language that's tripping learners up Rewrite the first block — a quick way to punch up your opening without starting from scratch And you're not limited to those. You can type your own instruction and it'll work across the course or a targeted section. The Catch (For Now) It's in beta, and Articulate is upfront about what it doesn't touch yet: closed captions, custom blocks, scenarios, and code blocks aren't supported. If your courses lean heavily on custom-built interactivity, that's a real gap. But here's the thing: most of my day job courses at work don't actually use Code Blocks. Those show up much more in my eLearning Heroes challenge builds. So for the bulk of what I build professionally, this feature already covers nearly all my content. I'd still keep an eye on anything jargon or tone sensitive (compliance language, for instance) and give it a careful read after any automated pass, since the feature flags itself as needing that kind of double-check. Where I See Myself Using This 🌟 Realistically, in my day job all the time. Standardizing terminology across a multi-lesson course, tightening tone after a stakeholder review, cleaning up jargon before a course goes live to a general audience... these are exactly the unglamorous edits that pile up at the end of a build. Having them handled in a few clicks instead of a manual sweep is the kind of small workflow win that adds up fast. Now if only Articulate would bring this over to Storyline too. I checked, and it's Rise-exclusive for now, with no announced plans for Storyline yet, but the request has reportedly been passed along to the team. Hey articulate community, I am trying to develop a course where a new employee who could also be a new manager can go through the same course, but the manager has an additional portion like a manager manager‘s corner that shares manager only teachings and learning regarding the topic. I am trying to obviously restrict that to the manager that’s hired and not open it to employees so any suggestion would be appreciated I created a sample course with 3 parts and 4th part needs to accessible only to particular role - trying to avoid creating 2 lessons for same with one more tab Has anyone tried that ? thanksDoing the unholy
Our organization created several simulations using Adobe Captivate Classic, and I am trying to upload a non SCORMed zip file via the Code block upload feature in Rise. The Frankensteined monster actually worked however the simulation is about the size of a postage stamp rather than the 1280 X 800 size we built it in as seen below. Any ideas on how I can fix this (aside from rebuilding the simulations in Storyline)?Feature Idea: Rise 360 Custom Block, Responsive & Interactivity 🎨
Idea Summary Rise 360's Custom Block now supports both responsive layout and interactivity, and both are genuinely useful additions. In my experience using them, though, neither is quite there yet: responsive containers only handle simple row or column reflow, and interactivity has to be hand built from scratch with no object library to draw on. I'd love to see both gaps closed so Custom Block can hold up as a real page builder within Rise 360, not just a container for embedded objects. 🚀 One idea that might get there faster: bring over some of what already works well in Storyline, rather than building the same capability again from zero! The problem 👀 I built a full course on Rise 360's new Responsive Custom Blocks Labs feature and used it hands on across a real project. Two gaps stood out to me. First, the responsive containers only support row or column direction. There's no wrap or true grid behavior, so anything beyond a simple stack means manually nesting containers per breakpoint and hoping the reflow holds up. It works, but it feels more like a workaround than a layout system. Second, now that interactivity has been added to Custom Blocks, it's a genuinely useful step forward, but it's also complex to build from a blank canvas. Every trigger, state, and interactive element has to be assembled from scratch, in a tool that doesn't yet have much of an object library or toolbar to lean on. A few ideas that might help 💡 More flexible responsive layout. Wrap and grid behavior for containers, and a way to resize and reposition items per breakpoint visually (laptop, tablet portrait, tablet landscape, mobile portrait), would go a long way beyond just row or column reflow. That's what would make a block feel genuinely responsive rather than stacked differently on smaller screens. A small object library for interactivity. Buttons, sliders, dials, hotspots, inputs, and markers as drag in components would mean interactivity doesn't have to mean recreating basic UI elements in custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript every time. Triggers instead of code. An on click, on hover, on state change trigger system could give Rise 360's Custom Block a logic layer that doesn't require a developer's toolkit to use. Why I keep coming back to Storyline 🙌 Storyline already has a toolbar that covers a lot of this ground: insertable interactive objects, a trigger system, states, and per view object handling. It's not a rough sketch, it's something that's already shipped and well tested. Leaning on it could help Custom Block get to a more capable place faster, without having to solve problems Storyline has already worked through. It might also mean anyone who already builds in Storyline could pick up Custom Block more easily, with one mental model instead of two, and a bit less custom code overall since some of what people currently hand build in Code Blocks would already exist natively. Hi everyone, We're running into a consistent issue with Rise 360 xAPI packages on resume and wanted to see if others have experienced this or found a workaround. The issue: When a learner resumes a Rise course, the bookmark works correctly — they are taken back to the lesson where they left off. However, all previously completed lessons appear incomplete in the sidebar and the overall progress percentage resets. The course behaves as if the learner is starting fresh, despite the LRS returning valid suspend_data and bookmark data on resume. What we've confirmed: Our LRS returns a valid suspend_data blob in response to the GET /xapi/activities/state request on resume bookmark data is read and applied correctly — navigation to the correct lesson works The issue does not occur on SCORM Cloud We tested the latest package provided by Articulate support without any modifications — same behaviour What we'd like to know: Has anyone else experienced this with a custom or self-hosted xAPI LRS? Is there any known requirement for how suspend_data must be returned for Rise to apply it correctly? Has anyone found a workaround short of using SCORM Cloud? We have an open support case with Articulate but wanted to raise it here as well in case this is a known issue in the community. For a simple LMS (that can only deal with outputs such as whether the user completed the course or failed) we need to add to all our eLearning courses a choice for new users to go through the learning part of the course and then the knowledge check and for existing users to go straight to the knowledge check. We have storyline and Rise courses as well. How about we create 2 "wrappers", one for Rise and one for Storyline? The Storyline wrapper will be slides inside of a Storyline file where slide one will be selectors between new and existing users, new users will be directed through the learning slides (an actual imported Storyline course) then taken to assessment created in Storyline. If the assessment is passed, then one single sign is transmitted from this Storyline package to the basic LMS that the user passed it. If not passed, then the user is given the choice whether to take the assessment again or start from the learning part and then assessment. If failed again, the user has to take the learning again and the assessment again. The other package is the Rise wrapper. Could we amend existing Rise courses in such a way that creating a new chapter one which would be the selector, the user would have to click on new or existing users. The new button would simply take them to the next chapter (which is the learning part) all the way to the assessment. Could then the other button (existing users) take them to the knowledge check / assessment inside the Rise course straight away? And could then the Rise settings be set up in a way to reflect the above described pass/fail logic? Any suggestions welcome! ThanksFreeform image editor in Rise?
Are there plans to add a freeform image editor in Rise where you can place text boxes and shapes directly on top of an image the way you can in PowerPoint or Storyline? Currently we have to maintain a PowerPoint file in addition to Rise. This can be a problem if someone forgets to save the file or leaves the department. Often what should be a simple change requires you to recreate/redesign the content because the original file can't be found. Thanks!
