Can passwords be used to reveal layers by user group?

Hi. I am pretty new to Storyline and haven't seen whether this can be done. What I'd like to do is embed a Storyline file on a client's website with a graphic that sorts users into four groups. When each group's piece of the graphic is selected, it takes the user to another layer. On that layer, can I have the user enter a password in order to reveal a final layer with links relative only to that user group, or even specific user? Can Storyline recognize when a user enters a password formatted specifically for that user group?
I'm thinking variables could be set up this way, but am not sure?

I would have to mock it up in Storyline first. I just have a concept graphic in PP that my colleague is building a storyboard around.
Sue,
Does this sample do what you want?
My solution is on your other similar thread here: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/building-better-courses/using-passwords-as-variables
