Changes to content via Power Point for users without Articulate

May 05, 2015

I have multiple users submit content to me via power point since I have one of 2 licenses for Artciulate in the company.   After I have uploaded the content, I have to adjust the slides' content (word boxes, bullets, etc) once its in Articulate so it look correct on a page.  During the course of the year, the creator of the content may need to make changes.  We don't have ability to sit near each other, so is there a way for them to review it and make changes since they don't have access to Articulate?  Example, we have a 40 slide PP.  They need changes for 25 slides.  I've already adjusted the screens and timelines to original 40 slides which took some time.  Without re-uploading the entire PP again and going through all the adjustments, is there a way to download back into a PP version they can make changes to with all my adjustments that are already in there?

Hi, Michele -

Please check out this this information on the Recommended Workflow for Collaborative Network Environments, but long story short, your file will still be able to be opened in the PPTX file even without Presenter installed.

There shouldn't be any issues with others editing the PPTx Files, provided you keep a copy of any of your linked in files (engage, Quizmaker) on your end (same name and location). When the other person sends back the completed PowerPoint, just swap it out in the Presenter Package folder.

To be on the safe side, make sure that you have a backup of the file. Giving it a slightly different name would be best. You always want to be backing up and doing versioning when possible.
