One of the biggest challenges that instructional designers face is figuring out how to present complex information to learners in a way that’s easy to understand. Charts and tables are a great way to take a set of complex data and turn it into a visual experience that’s digestible for your learners. And with Rise 360, you can take that a step further and make your charts interactive! Let’s take a closer look at four easy ways to display data in your Rise 360 courses.

Pie Chart

Using a pie graph is a compelling way to help your learners visualize percentages. With Rise 360, it’s easy to create beautiful, interactive pie graphs like the one pictured below:

When you pop in your data, Rise 360 will automatically choose contrasting colors for each section, but if you’d like, you can easily customize the colors to fit your brand.

Line Chart

When it comes to visualizing changes over time, line charts are a great option. Rise 360 makes it super simple to create elegant, interactive line charts like this one:

To make your own, simply pop in your data, update the labels, and personalize the colors. It only takes a few minutes!

Bar Chart

Bar charts are another effective way to visualize data. Whether you’re comparing different categories or looking at changes over time, bar charts can be a powerful tool to help learners quickly grasp complex information. Check out this bar chart made in Rise 360 to get an idea of what they look like:

Making your own bar chart in Rise 360 couldn’t be easier! It works exactly the same way as line charts: just insert your data, update the labels, and choose your accent color. Easy-peasy! And even after you enter your data, you can still switch from one type of graph to another to see which one makes the most sense.

Tables

If you need to organize data in a structured manner, tables are just the thing. This useful feature can be used in many different ways to help learners better understand and interpret information. Here’s an example of how tables can be used to help learners grasp the difference between products:

Especially like the gobbledygook bah blah blah in each segment of the Product comparison chart example, it has marketing background dripping from every nonsensical phrase. Genius way of satirizing the typical marketing school tel-sell talk!
