Templates with Placeholder Content

These templates serve as a blueprint for courses on common topics—like hiring, onboarding, and workplace harassment. They include an outline of lessons that would typically be covered in a course on that topic—so all that’s left to do is pop in your content and you’re set.

Real Content Templates

You can export the templates as is and upload them to your LMS in just a few minutes or customize them by adding your brand colors and mixing in your own content. It’s up to you! Either way, you’ll get from start to finish much faster—allowing you to quickly grow your course catalog.

How to Get Started

If we use the pre-built courses, is there anything we need to do differently such as add a disclaimer or credit the author? Do you need to join the Big Idea Club to use the course?
  • This Is awesome! I cant help but notice the resources available on the course launch page: https://imgur.com/a/XXT2dD2

Is this feature available in our Rise courses? being able to share guides/workbooks/resources without having a learning dig into the content would be awesome - hope to see it implemented if not already hidden somewhere.

      HI Mike!
So glad you're loving this new feature. Right now, the resources you're seeing are available only for Next Big Idea courses and can't be added manually to other courses by authors. But I can totally see why you'd want to do that!

Would you be up for logging a feature request to tell us more about your specific needs? Here's the link: https://articulate.com/support/contact/feature-request

done - fingers crossed it's an easy lift and dev's find value - I think it could be awesome. Thanks!
  • Hi Allison,

I'm currently using the harassment module as a template for a course for an international organization. But since the module refers to US (federal / state) law and legislation, it becomes irrelevant for all other entities outside the US. Text-wise, I can make a more generic and refer to internal policies and codes, but as the videos used also mention those laws, I actually would like to adjust those (remove certain parts and /or create a visual "disclaimer" in the video.

Now, as the videos seems to be protected (using the developers option in my browser), I can't download the videos and obviously can't adjust those (in a normal way). Is there any place where I can find the video files?

Thanks in advance for your reply!
  • Hi, these courses look great and are exactly what we need! Is there a cost associated to using them? We are already users of Articulate.

Hi Lisa. The courses are included as part of your 360 subscription!
  • I've noticed that individual lessons come with suggested time durations, but the Real Content courses do not. Can you share how you calculate the duration so that we can add this to courses we use/adapt from the Real Content templates? For example. I am using the Becoming a Boss: A Guide for New Managers course and would like to indicate the duration for the full course. Thanks!

Hey Sherri. Did you ever get a response to this question? I'm curious myself.

Hi Sherri and Dan! Sorry for the delay, I'm just seeing these questions now. We calculate the durations based on the total word count and an estimated average speed but the video duration. It's not an exact science, but it gives an idea of how long people might expect to spend. I hope that's helpful!
