Storyline: A 360° Clinic Cleaning Simulation
Keeping a workspace in order prevents all sorts of issues—including avoiding injuries on a factory floor, infection in an operating room, or confidential information falling into the wrong hands at the office. To help learners build the habits they need to get this right, try a simulated environment. That way, they have a low-stress place to practice, which can prevent errors from happening on the job.
In this example, learners try to tidy up a doctor’s office before their next appointment— addressing hygiene, setup, and data security challenges. Storyline 360 makes the experience delightfully realistic with the help of the 360° image feature. Learners can pan around the entire room to search for issues as if they were looking around the actual environment. Immersing learners in a real work environment isn’t just cool-looking. It can also help them transfer those skills and apply them on the job. And thanks to how easy it is to work with 360° images in Storyline 360, you can build interactions like this in just minutes!

- SurenderkumarCommunity MemberCan you share the source file please? Thanks :)
- DianeGrolle-73eCommunity MemberI would love to see the source file as well, thank you!
- BWoodsFormer StaffHi everyone. Unfortunately, I'm not able to share the course file because of copyright reasons (the 360 image is a stock photo I can't distribute). That said, this was just a very straightforward use of the standard 360° image feature in Storyline 360. https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-360/articles/storyline-360-adding-and-editing-360-degree-images
The only customization I included was the branching at the end. I added a true/false variable to each of the markers on the 360° image. If someone clicked all 8 of them, when they clicked Exit they branched to the good ending. If they missed any markers, clicking Exit took them to the bad ending. - ThomasHadley-78Community Memberit would be better if the course retruned to the start if the job was not finsihed and give say two more goes
- MariaKjrsgaardCommunity MemberMight be a stupid question (I am new here), but how did you make the "blinking"-hover-spot? :)

- StephanieLongCommunity Memberwondering this as well.
- BWoodsFormer StaffDo you mean the clickable circles in the 360° image or something else? If it's the former, you'll be happy to know that's just the default way markers appear in 360° interactions. So it's delightfully easy to set up.
Here's some more information on how to add markers: https://community.articulate.com/series/storyline-360-working-with-360-degree-images/articles/storyline-360-adding-markers-to-360-degree-images
- JamesRandall-bcCommunity MemberLooks great Bianca!
- LaceySimpson-4dCommunity MemberHi Bianca, is it possible to get them template without the image included?
- BWoodsFormer StaffSure thing! Here's a link to the file with a free placeholder 360° image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PvhPtR7FTpKDgW8iOo_HjfGoyy0SXH8U/view?usp=sharing
Obviously, the placement of the hotspots in that interaction doesn't make sense anymore, but it should give you the gist of how it all works.- LaceySimpson-4dCommunity MemberBianca, can you tell what camera or software you used to take the 360 images with?
- LaceySimpson-4dCommunity MemberYou're awesome, thank you :)
