Meet the Team Interactions #498: Challenge | Recap

As course designers, you’ve probably built onboarding courses that introduce new hires to key people, organizational structure, and leadership bios. Pretty standard New Hire 101, right?

But interactive org charts and meet-the-team interactions can make these introductions far more engaging.

Org charts and meet-the-team interactions all serve the same purpose. They visually show who’s who, clarify roles, and highlight relationships in your organization. And that’s what this week’s challenge is all about!

But first, check out a recent example Jayashree shared:

🏆 Challenge of the Week

This week, your challenge is to create an interactive org chart to show who’s who in a group or organization.

You can introduce the key players in your company, map out your favorite sports team, or get creative and build something playful like characters from your favorite movie or comic series.

Welcome to the challenge, Clotilde. I like the "old school" way, of course.

Cool project! I liked the eraser effect to reset the board. Could maybe be nice to add a "visited" state to each of the people depending on the context.

        That's a great suggestion ! Thanks Kali :)

  • Hi everyone! I want to share my example. I based it on one of my favorite sitcoms —Friends. I think the same approach could be used to introduce team members — for example, by highlighting areas on a group photo and providing information about each person. Thanks for the awesome challenge!

    Hey guys,

This interactive demo showcases our team in a fun and engaging way. Each card flips to reveal more details about a team member, making it easier to understand their role.

I took some time to come up with the right idea, but once inspiration hit, everything fell into place!

A lot of people outside the instructional design field don’t really know what it’s about or who’s behind it. This demo was created to highlight our team’s work and contributions in an engaging and memorable way.
    Meet the E-learning Team

  • My 'Meet Our Global Team' entry was inspired by Kali Maginity's interactive map concept. I've always been fascinated by glass-morphism design. I finally took this opportunity to implement it, creating a world map with frosted glass popups that display dynamic team information across different time zones.

Here is the link to my demo.

Also, I'm happy to see my previous 'Meet the Dream Team' project showcased as an example for this challenge! Thank you, David!

Well executed, Connie! Thank you for sharing! Until the next challenge :)

  • Hey, love your interactive team activity - of course, for Nirvana, on its own, though also your creativity is fabulous. I especially like the song and smooth way you introduce the characters. 😀  This is a wonderful way to increase engagement. Thanks for sharing your SL file! 🤩

I am a bit late here, but I started this work weeks ago and just found the time to finish it ! So here is my meet the team concept, inspired by retro videogames.
Hope to do more fun things like this in the future :)

Here's a demo I created for Challenge #505, but it fits this challenge as well. It is an org chart made with a button set. I've been using the built-in AI text instead of Ipsum Lorem for my placeholder copy. The built-in AI text generator is very good at "dad joke" copy. :)
