Hello AnnaSantiago!
What a great topic. While Storyline's built-in accessibility checker is a great starting point for improving accessibility, to ensure your content is truly accessible, it's important to test the published output using a combination of automated tools and manual techniques.
Here are a few best practices I'd recommend:
- Test the course after it's published to HTML.
- Combine automated checks with manual keyboard and screen reader testing.
- Use keyboard-only navigation to check tab order and focus indicators.
- Test with more than one screen reader.
- Bonus: testing usability by working with assistive technology users
I tend to gravitate towards these tools for testing:
- Axe DevTools
- WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool)
- NVDA and JAWS screen readers
- Colour Contrast Analyser (TPGi)
I'm looking forward to learning what others are using.
