Hi all.
I'm Jean Marrapodi, and I live halfway between Boston and Providence and looks like I'm the first to say hi from the East Coast. I've been in elearning for close to 30 years and love doing what we do. I currently work at UMB Bank, a large regional bank in the midwestern US, building creative training resources to make learning sticky, and teach the practicum for the UCI Instructional Design for eLearning Certification program. I live with Rosalina and Rocco, who are in active competition for the world record in shedding.
Rosalina and Rocco often live in stereo.- dsdcruzeCommunity Member
I went to school in Boston and am from CT originally (NWC). I'm in Atlanta now. 🙂

Hi everyone! I’m Erin, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and I work remotely as the eLearning Administrator for FACTS, a Nelnet company. I lead the strategy, design, and development of eLearning for internal onboarding and customers using our platforms. I’m also a mom of three energetic boys—so multitasking is basically my superpower.💥 I’m excited to learn more about AI Assistant and how it can support and enhance our eLearning design work.

I am from Manitoba, but I have been to Grand Rapids and I love it there. Apparently, I have a lot of long-lost family there I hope to find one day!

Hi everyone! Pleased to be part of this course and looking forward to learning more about the AI features of Articulate. I'm based in the North West England, UK and work as an eLearning Developer at the University of Greater Manchester. I've been an Articulate user since Storyline 1 and use both Storyline and Rise almost daily in my learning development work. My projects are mostly developed in Rise but I also use Storyline to craft simulation based learning for our Nursing teams which include AI avatars and AI enhanced activities. I'm exciting to learn the features of the AI Assistant and how it can further enhance my work.

Hello! I'm Michelle, I'm based in the West of Ireland and I'm the training specialist and instructional designer for a small social enterprise called Grow Remote. I take care of everything to do with training and elearning, from start to finish. I've a science background and before this role I worked in pharma as an analytical chemist and then an instructional designer and training specialist.
I've a strong background in Storyline but these days I use mostly Rise. I'm proactively making sure I stay up to date with AI developments in our space as I've a long way to go until retirement, so this cohort is a great way to get some recognition for these skills. I work from home where I'm kept company by Laurie (top) and Kylie (bottom). - RolandFermen337Community Member
Hi everyone! I'm Roland Fermenal. I have been working as an Instructional Designer at Cepheid (an American Molecular Diagnostics Company) for almost 5 years, developing online learning materials for our global sales force and supporting additional in-person training activities we conduct globally.
I am Venezuelan, but have been based in Barcelona, Spain, since 2012. From where I say hi and work remotely with my best "partner in crime", Río, who you can see in the picture below, but you can usually find him sleeping next to me while I am dealing with content, Articulate Storyline, and Rise, the main tools I use to create the materials we share with associates in the company I work for.
I've joined the AI Assistant Certification Cohort to get to know better all the AI options that the Articulate 360 suite is making available to us, and see how they can help us improve the way we produce and what we produce, and it's always nice to share knowledge, experiences, and tricks while learning together as a community.
I am excited to be part of this trip, to get to know the community a bit better, and to explore all the advantages we can gain by using AI to support our eLearning development tasks!
I wish you all a nice flight! :-)

Hey everyone! I'm Tayla and I'm an L&D Specialist. I am from South Africa, but currently work in The Netherlands. I don't have a pet to post unfortunately - I am mildly allergic, but am enjoying everyone else's photos!
- ElizabethBauer-Community Member
Hi, Tayla! Waving at you as a fellow animal dander allergy sufferer.
- JodiVanDrunenCommunity Member
I am Canadian but I have been to the Netherlands as that is originally where my family is from. I was there a few years ago and went to the town and park named after my family. Also did a canal boat ride in the rain! I would love to live there some day!

Hi All! My name is Cheryl and I work for Road Scholar, and I'm based in northern New Jersey, just outside of NYC. We are a non-profit educational travel company for older adults who have a love of life-long learning. My day-to-day is mostly Instructional Design. I started using Articulate about 18 months ago, but have used other development software in my former job.
I joined this cohort because I LOVE the AI Assistant in Rise, but haven't used it much in Storyline. I want to further my skills in both areas.
No pets for me, only an almost 14 year old son. 😃 - HeatherMichaelCommunity Member
Hi everyone! 👋 I'm Heather. I live near Harrisburg, PA and work for the great state of Pennsylvania. I am primarily an eLearning developer, mostly existing in the realm of mandatory policy training, with a smattering of fun projects along the way. I love to use storytelling and games in my courses when legal approves them 😉. We also created our own eLearning community for other developers in state agencies where we post fun stuff on Teams, host virtual workshops, and provide consultations. I'm excited to join the cohort to become more familiar with the AI Assistant, have some dedicated time to play, and see what I might be missing. It feels like there's a new feature everyday! 😅
As requested, my sweet fur baby, Taylor (Tay, TeeTee) is below with her new snail friend.- ElizabethBauer-Community Member
Those are some of the most polite cat nicknames I've heard 😄! My son has a cat he deeply loves named Enzo (short for Lorenzo, so I guess that's a nickname) but much of what Enzo gets called is... impolite.

Hello! I'm Miranda and am based in Maine. I work as a Training Manager for a statewide organization... and am a department of one, so I wear all of the training hats. I'm hoping to learn additional tips and tricks on how I can use AI to help me be efficient when I am working on design and development. I'm working on rolling out a new certification process, new LMS, and new curriculum over the next 12 months. Time is a precious commodity!
No pets here. Just mice that live in our shed :) 😄

Welcome to the cohort! You will surely find tips and tricks to improve efficiency, so you have joined the right group! How delightful that you and I share the same last name. My husband's family is Irish,😄 and their home base was southern Wisconsin. Great to meet you!

Nice to meet you, Miranda! I lived in Maine for 8 years, such a beautiful state! (We had mice too 😆)

Hi, everyone! I’m joining from Virginia and work remotely as a course developer at eSkillz. I’m excited to explore how AI can enhance the way I create and deliver training. I visit the E-Learning Heroes page on almost a daily basis, but this is the first time I’ve actually participated in a discussion. I can’t wait to learn, experiment, and collaborate with everyone here.
Here is my favorite coworker Nutmeg. Her job responsibilities include napping, ensuring we are safe from squirrels, and informing me of Amazon deliveries.
- NadiaPetersCommunity Member
I’m also in Virginia! Whereabouts are you at? We just moved from Fairfax to Manassas

I'm very close to you. We live in Stafford.
