Hi everyone! I'm so excited to get to know each of you over the next few weeks! 👋 I'm Alyssa, the Training Program Manager at Articulate. I've been so fortunate to be a part of the Articulate team for the past 10 years, and I love teaching our customers new and creative ways to use our tools.
I'm located in Bellingham, WA 🌲 but I'm a native Texan at heart. I share my home office with two cuties, Basil (airedale terrier) and Remi (wirehaired pointer). I'd love to see photos of your pets, as well!
I'm excited to dive in to the AI Assistant with you next week!

Hi everyone, I'm Laura Dassa. I live and work in the Chicago area. I am an Instructional Designer at I-CAR, creating online training for the collision repair industry. I have been an ID for 20+ years creating and delivering employee training for manufacturing as well as administrative roles.
I look forward to learning new ways to leverage the AI tool when building online courses.
This is Penny. Her favorite things to do are sleep, eat, and get pet.

Hi Penny, I used to work at AXALTA so I am very familiar with I-CAR. It was an exciting career. Have you ever suited up and painted a car? I did a test panel once and I did a terrible job. LOL.

Hello, I am Chad Neumann and I am an instructional designer and trainer for Ascensus. I am located in Tucson, AZ. My work involves designing learning for financial professionals around individual retirement accounts and employer retirement plans. This involves everything from face-to-face classroom training, virtual training, and self-paced learning modules.
I joined this cohort because I love to learn and want to see how I can better utilize the AI tools within Articulate to enhance the development of my self-paced learning modules.

Hello, everyone! I go by AJ, I work for a private insurance company as an instructional designer building training curricula for new hire and incumbent employees.
I'm excited to learn more about Articulate's AI capabilities to increase development speed and leverage new technology!

Hello! I’m Susan Whalen. I live and work in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and I’ve been an Instructional Designer with I‑CAR for over ten years. Although our organization is based in Illinois and Wisconsin, I’m fortunate to work remotely—typically with the help of my cockapoo companion, Frankie. Yes, it does make for interesting meetings when the Bears play the Packers.
Our team develops new courses and updates roughly 25% of our existing curriculum each year. I also support the course review process to ensure accuracy, clarity, and functionality.
I’m excited to join this Certification Cohort and learn how to better leverage the AI assistant. We currently use it for narration creation in Storyline, but we’re eager to expand our use of additional features.

Susan,
As long as you are a Packers fan, we are good! I grew up in Wisconsin but moved to Arizona 8 years ago. Go Pack Go!

Hi, I’m Judi Kent, Manager of Instructional Design at Learning Care, where I’ve spent the past 20 of my 27 year tenure supporting learning and development. I’m excited to be part of the AI cohort to explore how AI can support more efficient, scalable, and impactful learning experiences while keeping the learner at the center. Always look forward to learning new and improved ways to reach our field.
I'm from Texas, specifically the DFW area and I have two office mates, Nala and Maisy. You may see a guest appearance from Maisy. 😀 She's nosy and likes to know what is going on.

Hi team! I am Stephanie. I work at General Motors with several of the others in this cohort. I have been there for almost 2 years, but have been in training and instructional design for around 20 years. I mostly design web based training at our Warren Technical Center in Michigan. I have been using Articulate for several years, but the addition of AI helpers is great and I would love to be able to use them more efficiently and effectively to get my work done.
I have lots of pets at home, 2 dogs (Macy Gray and Lydia Tan) and 2 cats (Angel and Moo)

Hello there - I'm Amy Haneline the Director of Training & Development at Learning Care. I've been in various roles over my 21 years at Learning Care, most of them in L&D. Our team adopted Articulate 360 over the last few years (recovering Captivate IDs) and we're excited to understand how Ai Assistant can help us streamline processes and meet the ever changing, rapid paced demands of a growing organization. That's why we're all here as a part of this cohort!
I work remotely from Fishers, IN, but our company is headquartered in Michigan with 1,100 locations across the country. I share an office with my lazy coworker, Annie (goldendoodle) and our micro-manager, Lady (cat) checks in frequently to make sure we're staying focused on our work.

Hi everyone! I'm Melody Servello, Senior Program Manager for Enterprise Risk and Compliance Training (Including HR Mandatory training) for USAA. I work out of the Phoenix office 4 days per week and at home with my lazy co-workers pictured below (1 year old Shih Tzu littermates - Tennessee (F) & Whiskey(M)).
I've been with USAA just 4 months but have over 15 years in the L&D space and have been using Articulate (Rise & Storyline) for the last 5 years. At USAA, I get the privilege of working alongside the very talented Instructional Design team whom I partner with for the updates to the Required Training portfolio.
My former company did not purchase the AI tools with our Articulate licenses, so I am thrilled to have use of them here. Looking forward to learning more about how I can leverage AI to help consolidate and streamline our portfolio of coursework. Looking forward to our cohort!

Melody,
Glad to have a fellow Arizonan in the group. Maybe our paths will cross in person some day.

Hello Everyone! I'm Robert Hunn, and I live in Orlando, Florida. I work for Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Senior Instructional Designer. I've been working in this field for 3 years, but have been with Liberty Mutual for 16 years. I would love to learn more about how to make my day-to-day more efficient by using AI tools with Articulate. We use a lot of storyline and rise in our day-to-day operations.
Below is a picture of Buddy. Buddy may look scary, but he is the most loving dog to all people that I've had.

Hello from Fort Myers, Robert! Is Buddy a Pittie? My neighbor has a blonde pittie - a very large, strong dog who seems to think he's a tiny little dog. Always rolls over and wants me to pat his belly, LOL. I'm the only academic ID in this cohort so far. Nice to "meet" you here and good luck!
- RobertHunn-6d83Community Member
Hi Nancy! I'm not sure what he is. I think he has pit, lab, mastif, and probably some other things in him, but regardless, he's a lovable boy.

Hello All!
I'm Nancy Schumacher and I'm an ID at Florida Southwestern State College in Fort Myers, Florida. Our institution was using Articulate tools when I joined in 2018, and we are heavy Rise users - our faculty love to see their PPTs transformed into Rise presentations. FSW purchased the AI toolset, however, I'm not certain I'm using these effectively, so I'm excited learn more and change this😀.
I do not have any pet pics to post, LOL. However, I recently came across a very old favorite pic of my daughter (who's now 18) and I playing in the snow. We really miss the seasons and cold weather living here in Florida. I really look forward to "meeting" everyone via this cohort - good luck to us all!
Love that photo NancySchumacher - as someone who lives in Maine, I feel like this season I've have my fill of cold weather this year lol- looking forward to seeing you in the Cohort and around the community!

Thank you, Rachael - want to trade locations? Somehow, I'm wired to enjoy cold weather - lived in NY/NYC until our move down here in 2018. Talk about culture shock! Look forward to connecting with you via this community & cohort.

Hello,
I am Tammy Henry, LMS Technology Manager for Organizational Development at Ballad Health. I've been at Ballad almost 35 years and 15 of those have been in the learning and development world. I began as a part time trainer and eventually landed in an instructional design role. Now I lead an amazing team of 4 very talented, smart individuals who are eLearning, video and onboarding specialists. They are all joining the AI cohort as well! We are located in the Tri-Cities (Kingsport, Johnson City, Bristol) area of East Tennessee.
Our health system has approximately 13 hospitals, numerous outpatient clinics and approximately 13,000 team members and 5,000 contracted team members. We have used Healthstream as our LMS since 2013 and have used a variety of authoring tools over that time. We are now Articulate users - primarily in RISE. We are currently using AI in different ways for our jobs, but are looking forward to learning more and seeing how it can be used best in Articulate.
Looking forward to learning more about AI in the next couple of weeks!!

Hello Tammy!
Wanted to mention that I LOVE the Tri-Cities area. My daughter did a paleontology course at ETSU last summer, so I got to spend some time in Johnson City and Bristol. Visited the caverns and that was really something to see. We primarily use Rise also - our faculty prefer the online visual. Look forward to connecting via this course - lots of luck to you!
