Welcome & Introductions

Hey everyone! I'm Amy, and I work as a Learning Architect at Harvard University. I began using Storyline back in...2009?! It's come such a long way since then! In addition to hands-on asynchronous course development myself, I also consult with content creators around the university who are learning to use these authoring tools (Rise particularly, these days) themselves to develop their own training content. Over the past two years or so I've been exploring ways to integrate AI into my workflow as a learning designer, and the tools in Articulate Rise and Storyline are part of that. I'm really excited to dive into the videos, activities, and discussions that this cohort provides!

Here are my two furry pals, Elsa (goldendoodle) and Polihale (tuxedo cat).  🙂

Hi Everyone - 

My name is Amy Oosting, and I am in Grand Rapids, MI.  I have worked for Meijer for 13+ years and am in training for the Marketing and Merchandising organizations at the corporate office.  My focus is working with the Marketing side of the business and assist with onboarding from an external or internal, new to your role, perspective by creating content to help assist new team members learn their new job.  My week consists of collaborating with subject matter experts to create content, producing instructor lead courses, and working within our learning management system.  

I have joined this cohort to learn more within Articulate as I exclusively use Rise and have a very brief understanding of how Storyline works.  A big initiative within our area is to utilize AI to help us work smarter and increase productivity.  I'm excited to learn and grow with this group!

While we don’t have any pets in our home, I am very busy with a senior in high school and have a sophomore in college out of state.  I enjoy being social on weekends and am a huge foodie.

Hi, I'm Linda from the Philly area. I'm an Instructional Designer in the financial services industry. I joined the Cohort so I make sure I'm using AI Assist to its full capacity. I love being able to be efficient and design more quickly. 

Hey Everyone! 

  My name is Dominique and I live in Atlanta, Georgia!  I work for a major Healthcare company here as a Corporate Trainer.  I use Reach360 and Articulate often to build virtual new hire orientation and refersher classes for the hospital employees.  

  I was recomended by my manager to join the Cohort.  I'm exited to learn more about the AI features and functions.  From the videos I've seen so far, I see that AI can do alot in terms of editing verbage, creating assesments and even creating very specific images to fit a projects need.  I look forward to learning more and being able to utilize AI! 

  The cat is my baby Leia Winehose.  She lived to be 18 years old (she passed recently.)  Leia loved boxes, sleeping in my bathroom sink and sleeping in her daybed in the sunlight.   The dog is my adopted baby Cairo.  In his spare time, Cairo loves chasing squirells and deer in the backyard, eating people snacks (like fruits and veggies) and he loves ear scratches and belly rubs.

I'm Jennifer Chang and I am located in New York City. I work for City University of New York and I'm a deputy director who managed 4 IDs and 4 PMs. Looking forward to seeing what RISE and Articulate can do with AI assistance. 

Hi Everyone. I'm Michael Chant. I am an Instructional Designer with Eversource Energy, a utility with customers in NH/CT/MA. I sit within Human Resources, out of Berlin, CT. Part of my role involves developing/maintaining eLearning modules for our Compliance and HR departments. I am looking forward to learning how AI can help me make this process more efficient for my organization. We just recently had the AI features within Articulate turned on for us. I have already used the AI generated narration to save myself a ton of time on a recent eLearning.

Hello everyone! I've had a crazy workload so I'm a little late to the party. My name is Nicole, and I'm a Senior Instructional Designer at Progressive Insurance Co. I've worked for Progressive for almost 20 years in various capacities, the last almost 5 have been as an Instructional Designer. I create learning experiences for our Commercial Lines division.

I live (born and raised) in Cleveland, Ohio and have the laziest coworker, Mila (Chihuahua and Shih Tzu mix). She spends most days sleeping, begging for treats, or following my toddler for snacks. If she's feeling really spicy she's barking at anyone who has the audacity to walk on the sidewalk near our window. 

Articulate is a new authoring tool for our company, so I'm excited to learn what it has to offer.
