ASAP (Ida): Do I need internet to use Storyline?

Aug 30, 2021

Hi! TS Ida is going to be sideswiping my area tomorrow, and I'm expecting to possibly lose power and internet. We have a generator, but that won't help with internet. I'm trying to line up my to do list in the event I lose internet tomorrow, but it just occurred to me that I might have a problem. Every now and then, I get an error when launching SL that I need to be logged in to Articulate in order to use it. Is it true that I need to have internet access and be logged in, in order to use SL? Is there anything I can do to ensure I can still use SL, even if I lose internet? If I need to be on the internet to use SL, I'm going to be out of luck.

I appreciate any answers or advice today or early tomorrow, if a knowledgeable someone can provide it! Thank you in advance!

Hi Lisa,

Timely question! You can use Storyline 360 offline for up to 99 days. You'll just have to be connected to the internet when you log into the desktop app, and then you can go offline and continue working in Storyline 360.

Please keep in mind that you won't be able to connect to the Content Library, nor will you be able to use Review 360 while you're offline. I hope all goes well. Stay safe!
