Audio in Mp4 files fading out, how do I fix it?

Aug 04, 2021

Hi there,

I am creating annimated Mp4 files in Vyond and when I place them into Storyline, the audio in each clip fades out in the end. It is not a setting in Vyond doing this because when I preview in Vyond, the audio is fine. When I preview in Storyline, the audio fades out.

I have been through the settings in Storyline, but I can't seem to figure it out. Can anyone help?

Thank you!

Hello Tori!

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry you're hitting this snag!

  • Do you experience the audio fading out only when previewing, or does it also happen after publishing the project?

From here, I'd recommend sharing one of the audio files with one of our support engineers so they can investigate and provide some insight. Feel free to reach out here, and one of my teammates will be in touch shortly!

I'm pretty sure the premature fade out is happening in VYOND, not in Storyline. Vyond automatically fades audio for something like half a second at the end of a scene. If you go back into Vyond and extend the scene a half-second beyond the audio, I'll bet you will hear the audio go to the end.

Your post was nearly a year ago, but I just had the same experience in Vyond. It's a little goofy; they just "pad" the audio so they don't get the unprofessional audio-clip sound.

I hope that helps!
