Can't submit after going back from a Custom Correct Layer

After I select the correct answer the custom correct layer shows - all good.

But if the correct layer is hidden (by clicking back from it) I can't re-submit the answer so I can't go forward again.  I have noticed that if I set the Attempts to 2, even though I select the correct answer I can submit when I go back from the correct layer.

I would prefer not to have more than one attempt for some of my questions, so is there a work around so the user can go backward and forward without getting stuck?

  • You need to set the slide to reset to initial state, it it is part of a results slide you may also need to reset the results

  • Hi, Lara.

On your Correct layer, do you only have a trigger to hide the layer when the user clicks Continue?

If you want to only give one attempt, but allow the user to move to the next slide after seeing the feedback, then you also need to have a trigger to jump to the next slide (which is added by default):

    I hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply.  There is no problem going to the next slide but if they want to go back for what ever reason I have it set to hide the layer which shows the question slide.  The issues is they can't re-submit if they got the answer right, so they can't go forward again.  It is okay if they get it wrong. It is also okay if they get it right but I it allows 2 attempts if they get it wrong.

I could set the back button on the answer layer to take them back to the slide before but  I think they would expect to go back to the question.

I have also set the slide to reset to initial state when revisiting but I think because I am just hiding a layer it doesn't work.  It just says (none) in the results slide option.

  • Hi, Lara.

    Thank you for clarifying!

You could change your trigger from hide this layer to jump to this slide (the same slide as the question), which would work with the reset to initial state option. The downside is that this would create unlimited attempts.

I look forward to other suggestions you might receive from our community members!

Thank you, that will work:)  I can do that for the correct answer layer and leave the incorrect as it is.  If they get it right they don't really need anymore attempts so that shouldn't matter.
