Jan 17, 2013

Is it possible to change the text shown in this screenshot. This is a matching drop-down quiz question.

Hi Steven,

If I'm looking at the correct setup, with a matching drop down quiz in Storyline, you should be able to change that font size and color. If you open the slide with the quiz and select the drop down, you should be able to highlight the text that shows there and set it to whatever size or color you'd like. Now, I'm not sure if the "Select" text can be changed, but the answer can.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Hi Steven and Christine,

I was able to change the font size for the word "Select" and the question. I've attached the .story file and a screen shot here. In the screen shot take a look at the red arrows:

If you select the question box and then change the type size, it will change the size for the question and the words within.

You can check it out in the attached story.

Hi Khoi and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

The hover color for the matching drop down is not one that can currently be changed. I'd definitely suggest sharing your thoughts in the form of a feature request, as that helps our product development team to know what our users would need and track the total number of requests.

Hi! I know this thread is a bit older, but was wondering if there's a way to change the actual font for the drop down options? I've been publishing my entire module in Bliss and for some reason, even if I change the font of my options to Bliss, it publishes the question with Arial as the font and is super small. Any ideas?

I know this is an older thread, but I seem to be running into the same sort of problem with matching questions. I can't seem to resize the boxes of the matches so that the text is the same size in all of them. There is lots of room on the page and in theory, they are all Arial 16, but in practice, they aren't. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Hey Diane! Appreciate you including your file. The Matching Drag-and-Drop objects are a fixed size, so text will shrink to fit as you add more text.

Have you considered making a custom matching activity using a freeform drag-and-drop slide instead? That way, you have the freedom to design the slide however you like!

Diane Brochu

No, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks so much for the tip!

Hi, Monica!

Good news! I found a fix for your issue! When you input the answer type it with standard characters. After typing the answer, select the character you want to change to subscript with your mouse. After you select the character, a menu will pop-up showing formatting options including subscript!

Thanks for reaching out!
