Characters on right side of notes panel are hidden
Oct 06, 2020
While working in SL3, on some slides, the right side of the notes panel appears to have a vertical strip about 3-4 characters long where the letters are hidden. The letters do not go all the way over to the scroll bar as they do on other slides, and are hidden by this strip. It does not matter how I expand or contract the view, there is a strip on the right side that almost seems to be hiding the characters on the right side of the notes. I have attached a cropped-down image of what I am seeing so you can zero in on what this looks like.
I did a copy/paste/format identical from a Word document to all the slides I built, but this does not happen on every slide. In preview, I can see all the letters in the notes.

Hi Kaye,
Thanks for sharing what you are experiencing in your published output.
I'm not seeing this reported, and I'm unable to replicate it at this time.
What version of Storyline 3 are you currently using?
You can check by going to:
Help > About Articulate Storyline
With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
I am also experiencing this in Storyline 360 -- it is NOT in the published output, it's in the notes pane in Storyline. It seems to happen most frequently when I delete a section of notes and then start typing again -- the most recent ~5 characters of what I've typed are always hidden/look like they're being obscured by an invisible area. It's almost like there's a mismatch in the visible area or something. It's incredibly annoying and makes storyline unusable until I can restart and clear it.
Thanks for chiming in and sharing that you're experiencing a similar issue within the software, Nick.
Since you are using Articulate 360, I'm curious if you can share a Peek 360 of the behavior. I'd like to take a closer look and get this reported to our team if needed.
I will try to reproduce and send you a video later today. It's not always a deterministic problem (or I can't totally find ways to cause it on demand at least)
Hello! I wanted to check if anyone had found a solution for this? I have the same problem, specifically, URL addresses that will hide behind the scroll bar. What can I do to make sure that the address will split to next line rather than get hidden?
Hi Georgina!
I see that you've reached out to our Support Engineers and are working with my teammate, Lejan. You're in excellent hands!
I see that he's requested your .story file. You can upload the file using the link provided in his latest email.
