Correcting Spelling by Right Clicking on Misspelled Word Not Working - is it just me?

Dec 30, 2021

If I have a misspelled word on the slide or in the notes (highlighted by the red wavy line) I'm unable to change it to the correct word after right clicking on it and then clicking the correct spelling from the resulting list.   Sometimes if I click it multiple times it will finally accept it, but more often than not, it just never does and I have to retype the word correctly.   I've been trying to figure out if this is an Articulate 360 issue, an issue with my computer, mouse, or what?  It doesn't seem to behave the same way when I'm working in Word or PPT, just Storyline 360.   I tried a wired mouse, wireless mouse, built-in mouse, even adjusted the sensitivity settings on my mouse to see if the mouse might be the issue, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.  Anyone else notice this?

Hello everyone!

Good news! Today, we just released Storyline 360 Update 78 (Build 3.78.30680.0) which includes a fix for the bug where auto-correct in Notes shows options, but clicking those words doesn't change the incorrect word.

Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app!

Hi, Kelli.

Thank you for reaching out!

We have a bug reported where Auto-correct shows options, but clicking those words doesn't change the incorrect word.

I've connected this discussion to the bug report, and I'll be sure to come back to update you when I have some news.

As a workaround, please highlight the misspelled word before right-clicking on it to correct the spelling.

Let me know if that works!

That does work a little better. Even after highlighting the word, in some cases, it will change on the first attempt. Otherwise, I still have to click on the correct word 2-3 times before it will actually change it, but that is less than what I’d have to do with only right clicking (not highlighting) previously and as already stated, most times it wouldn’t change at all and I’d just have to retype. Guess I should just learn to spell correctly, or type better! LOL 😊

Thanks for checking into it!

Kelli
