Hi there! I have a module to revamp and it uses a lot of markers for additional information on already quite busy slides. This information is either text based or a picture and appears when it is hovered or clicked upon - all good. But I would like to dim the background when the marker is interacted with. Unlike layers, which can be set to states or set as dialog, darkening the background, I can't find an option to format the background in relation to interaction with a marker. Does anyone have any ideas? Or do I need to delete all the markers and create clickable objects that open a new layer instead?
Rather than layers, it might be easier to use a shape and its states. In the attached sample, I created a shape with two options in its New Shape, so you can see whether you prefer black or white to dim the background. Of course, you can change the color or transparency.
Just be sure the dimming shape (Rectangle 2) is above everything you want dimmed. The shapes have superpowers, and that's certainly true in this case.

Hi Ellysa!
I’m happy to help! Please try the following and see if they will work for you:
I attached a sample file with these steps and prepared a screen recording to explain.

Wow thank you so much for your help!
Thanks Walt this is an interesting solution I hadn't considered!
