I have a quiz question that is set up as a numeric entry question. The numeric entry field that will be analyzed is the sum of some other numeric entry fields, and is called "PS5_CF_Total". it is "off screen", so the student can't see it. I disabled the trigger "Set PS5_CF_Total to equal to the typed value when PS5_CF_Total loses focus". However, when tabbing through the slide, the numeric field can be selected, and any typed data is entered. This leads to mistakes if someone enters data in the hidden field.
Is there a way to disable data entry in the field? I tried making it invisible (removing the "eye" icon) and locking it, but the behavior is the same.

Since you don't want the learner to have access to that field, you can remove it from the focus order (Home > Focus Order).
