Disabling AI tools
Hello Articulate, I have no intentions of availing of the AI assistant tools and want to opt out of the free trial lasting til Oct 15. Can I possibly disable the tools so I can continue with the old layout? Having the AI buttons in the way makes my experience a bit clunky as I am accustomed to clicking in the spots where the AI assistant currently sits. Thank you!
Hi everyone,
We appreciate hearing your feedback on Articulate AI!
I'm happy to provide some clarity on how to disable the tool. As jenniferfiresto explained, the account owner can email sales@articulate.com at any time to request that Articulate AI be disabled for their subscription or free trial.
Please note requesting to disable the AI services is different than disabling AI on the Articulate dashboard. When you disable Articulate AI on the Articulate 360 dashboard, AI Assistant tools still display in Rise 360 and Storyline 360 but aren’t functional. When Articulate AI services are disabled via a request, Articulate AI features and functionality are removed from Rise 360 and Storyline 360.
If you have any questions, please let me know here or privately in a support case. We'll be happy to help!

The toolbars are still the same. We do not subscribe to AI yet we are forced to have cluttered toolbars.
Surely it would make sense to either give us the option to manage our own toolbars or provide an AI and Non AI option.
Hi, GlennHarris-593!
Thanks for reaching out about this. The account owner can email sales@articulate.com at any time to request that Articulate AI be disabled for their subscription or free trial. If you've submitted this request and the toolbar looks the same, please let us know in a support case so we can resolve the issue as soon as possible!

You can disable the AI-assistant by either downloading a previous version of Storyline or disabling it in your Articulate account! Go to Articulate.com, sign in and then click on your profile. Choose "Account" and then "Manage Subscriptions". There you'll find the option to disable the AI assistant tools!

Thanks for this. Since I'm not the admin I may have to reach out to ours to request assistance disabling it.

Unfortunately the trial is well and truly over, but I still have all the AI toolbars. Following the advise through this thread, I went to my account to 'opt out' but apparently now that the trial is over, the choice to disable the toolbar is no longer available. I put in a Support ticket, we shall see how that goes :) Thanks everyone for all of your suggestions and information!

You can opt out from your Articulate account, however the buttons remain on the interface and it displays popups about AI Assistant if you click on them, including a button that emails your account owner to request it. To have it completely disabled, the account owner needs to email the request: Articulate 360: Disabling Articulate AI Services - Articulate Support
I'm not sure of the turn around on having it completely disabled. We requested to completely disable it on Friday because we already used the Articulate account to opt out and received a response to use the Articulate account to opt out. I'm hoping they resolve it soon to help resolve the confusion for our team.

That's a bit disappointing to hear that the buttons stay put. At this point my teammate and I have resolved to just wait out the Oct 15 trial expiration because we still have to reach out to our admin to make the request on our behalf. Do keep me posted on how this progresses :) Best of luck.

You're welcome, will do :)

I agree with you... they take up a lot of space in both Storyline and Rise, and appear all over the place. A way to disable them is a must.
