I've replaced the buttons and triggers. However, some, but not all, Submit buttons require a double click. These buttons have only Normal and Selected states.
Check the number of attempts. If you have multiple attempts (especially two), and don’t have a Try Again message, clicking once will submit, but there is no Try Again layer to show, so nothing appears to happen. Then when Submit is clicked again, it shows the Correct or Incorrect layer.
If that doesn’t help, consider attaching your .story file here. It’s easier for someone to help if they can see what’s wrong.
