I've been using Peek to record some screens for a software video and then added them to Storyline to add some overlays etc.
When I export as a video (keeping the quality to story size) the videos within go somewhat blurry. Although I've imported them from my files I am unable to change the compression and changing the output quality doesn't make a difference either.
All previews are fine and show excellent quality, issue only with outputted file.
It is probably because Storyline recompress the video.
First try to select your video, and in the upper ribbon, see if you can change Compression from automatic to None.
If not (sometimes it is greyed, don't ask me why, there is no logic even with the same file used in many learnings) - when you publish, in the main window, in Properties, click on "Quality". From there, choose "custom" and increase the quality of the video..

Hello,
It is probably because Storyline recompress the video.

I hope this will help
I am trying to use a video that I imported and brushed up. The compression pull down is grayed out. Any ideas?
first try to import the mp4 into a new empty .story file
if the problem remains, open the mp4 in vlc and press control i and click "Codec"
here an example of a compatible mp4
