Grey Menu items in the Player

Feb 27, 2020

Hi there,

I noticed all the menu items in the Player turn dark grey when clicked on/visited however if using a darker template, you can't see the menu items because of the contrast of the dark grey.  Is there a way to change the color of the menu items when visited to something other than dark grey, in the Player?

I've attached some images to describe, and also the color settings that I have used for the player menu.

Hi Avtar,

The Modern Player has less customization than the Classic Player, as the neutral tones of the dark theme allow your content to be the focus of learners’ attention, while the player performs a supporting role in the background.

I appreciate you sharing that you'd like to see additional customization options and have added you to our report. We'll be sure to pop back in here when we have any progress to share!

I second the request for more menu customization in this regard - or at least the option to "turn off" the change in menu-item color if users have previously viewed the slides. Overall, the effect does work in drawing users attention to the content but clients complain nonstop about how dark it is to read.

Hello -a l,

With the release of Update 50, the modern player now meets WCAG accessibility guidelines for visual contrast and color so all learners can read the text, decipher the icons, perceive the controls, and navigate easily. Learn more about modern player accessible contrast.

Please note, we are currently on Build 3.53.25436.0.

The ability to customize the player colors is a feature that is still open with our team, but this conversation is attached so that we can share updates with you here.
