In STORY VIEW, you can select all the slides and then adjust them all to "Reset to initial state" in the Slide Properties panel (which appears in the lower right when you're in STORY VIEW).
In StoryView, select all slides (CTRL+A). Then, in the slide properties (lower right corner), select Reset to initial state from the When revisiting dropdown list.
There is a separate window for Slide Layer Properties. You can adjust the properties for all layers on a given slide at the same time. But you have to go to each slide and adjust its layers separately. (That is, it can't be done in STORYVIEW.)

Thanks for this tip.
Quick question - does this also change all of the layers within each slide?

Thank you Judy!
