Hi Eve
does this mean you are working from a network drive? If so, that can cause unexpected behaviour. Always save and publish Storyline projects on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external USB drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency. For example, it could cause file corruption or prevent you from saving changes.

of storyline 360 or storyline 3 ?
if in the error message there is a blue text button 'information' click it,
copy the error text and post it here
upload a source file with the trigger error here, then it can be decided whether it is due to your file or your computer

I am using Articulate Storyline 360. I tried to set the trigger on a different storyline file and received the same message. I attached the error file as well as a picture of the error.

Let me know if there's anything else you need.

Hello Eve,
Can you clarify what you meant by uninstalling and reinstalling the software locally? Do you currently have Storyline 360 running on an external directory or remote location?
As a general note, its always good practice to make sure that you are working locally when making any changes to your project file. If you are already working locally when you encountered the behavior, try doing a repair of your Storyline 360 installation to see if this helps. If the issue persists, reach out to our support team for further assistance.
this seems to be an incompatibility of storyline with your system
