Hi good people, am editing a project that is driving me nuts! I can't do something as simple as replacing picture from the media library or from file. Every time i replace the picture on a slide it shows up with an overlaying text that is a part of the previous picture.
The previous picture does not have text so it seems to be a textbox overlay but i just can't figure out where it lives because i cannot find it on the timeline either.
@Michael Hinze you are my Hero today, you deserve a trophy, thanks for being SOOO helpful, I never figured out this in 4 hours and I was scared of losing more time on it.

Check if the picture object has states; the text may be part of one of them, e.g. the Normal state.
