I truly do not understand masters....

Hello!

I built what I think is a pretty basic feedback master...

...but it doesn't look like this when in use in my SL course.

I've watched How to Create and Use Masters videos and get the general idea - you build it once and just call it when needed throughout the course HUZZAH! - but it never pans out. I have to tweak and tighten over and over again, defeating the purpose of having it in the first place.

What am I missing?
