Jump to slide trigger not working
Hello,
I'm not sure why my button triggers are not working to jump to another slide. I've created a decision tree with two other scenes that would ultimately come into play, except I can't even test the buttons on subsequent slides since I can't get the first slide to work. I've attached a screen shot with my triggers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For additional context: I deleted all the next and back triggers that usually default with the slide since this tool is supposed to act like a decision tree that takes you to different slides dependent upon what button you choose, not necessarily the next slide.
Thanks!
Amanda

Hi all! I ended up deleting the first slide and replacing it with all the same functionality and it worked! Not sure why that happened.
Hi Amanda,
I'm glad to hear that solution worked! If you have additional questions, we'll be happy to help!

Hi, Jenny.
I'm happy to help!
Are you comfortable sharing the .story file here or privately through a support case so we can help you troubleshoot?

I was having this same issue, and there doesn't seem to be any published solve for it on the E-Learning Heroes boards. I accidentally stumbled on the fix, so I thought it would be prudent to post it here in case anyone is having this issue.
I was able to fix it by going to the slide properties and changing the "When revisiting" option from "Automatically decide" to "Reset to initial state". Once I saw that, it was a bit of a facepalm moment for me, and it totally fixed the problem.
Hope this helps!

I am having a similar issue. I have a simple next button that is programmed to jump to a slide. Slide advances by user, when they click next but I can not figure out why this button wouldn't work. Any tips?

Hi Amy,
Great question! I understand the next button you created isn't working as it should. I’m happy to work with you to figure out why this is happening! I have a few follow-up questions regarding the situation so I can understand what you are experiencing a little better.
- Is this happening with more than one file or is this the only one?
- Are you working from a shared drive? If so, I recommend saving your files on your local drive before creating, editing, and publishing them. This will help minimize any unexpected behavior.
I’ve attached a Story file that I created in Storyline 360. The next button navigates to the next slide properly. Would you mind opening the file to see if your button is set up the same way?
Also, would you be willing to share your file here or with our support engineers privately in a support case so we can troubleshoot the issue?
Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to your response!
