I copy and pasted my marker from another slide within my project to make sure the formatting is the same, but it isn't. I try to adjust the formatting but it isn't working. There is a gray background to the textbox of the marker which makes the text difficult to read. Any tips for correcting this?
Devan, instead of copy/paste, try one of two things:
1) Use "format painter" (the paintbrush tool) instead - select the "good" marker, click the paintbrush, advance to the slide with the "not yet good" marker and select it, then "paste formatting."

2) Rebuild the marker for the second instance.
Option #1 nearly always works for me.
