It just came in my mind if we could add a "Merge Shapes Feature" like "PowerPoint" in Storyline so It can be quite helpful to create interesting shapes and picture place holders and make storyline more creative.
Thanks for letting us know what you would like to utilize within the software.
We do have the ability to group objects, which you can read about in this documentation, but I'll get your feature request submitted on merging shapes in Storyline.
If you have this already built in PowerPoint, please keep in mind that you can import those slides if needed as well.
The shape combine subtract feature is more powerful than grouping it makes storyline closer to illustrator also if we could also edit points and use bezier curves it would really make storyline a powerful illustration tool.
I definitely want to add these features to SL. I would also strongly suggest adopting the 'morph' features in PPT and Keynote. These are very powerful tools that we would love to use.
I want that. I feel the shape options in the program is limited and the Merging tool will encourage a lot of users to make their desired shapes. This can be helpful if designers need to make certain shapes that are part of their branding as well.

Adding your thought to the report, Phil. Thanks for chiming in to share :)
I vehemently agree with the need for all of these functions.
Hello I would also very much be interested in using the merge shapes>subtract function similar to in PowerPoint as a native feature within Storyline to create powerful emphasis like demonstrated by Richard Goings here https://www.elearninglearning.com/frs/10548215/legendary-presentations--elearning--sales-collateral--and-defeating-death-by-powerpoint/download
Thanks for chiming in, Ryan! If we add this feature in the future, we'll let you know!

Hi there.
Have there been any updates on the merge option?
I love the merge tool for creating images like the ones below.
Would be a great addition to Storyline.

Hi Chris and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
I do not have an update on this feature, but I've submitted this on your behalf as well.
I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests as that may be helpful.

I am putting my vote for this!
That would really be an useful feature! +1 Vote!
Wanted to add my voice to this request too. Definitely an addition that would add a lot of value and improve workflow.
I second this notion! I was just lamenting that I couldn't use the merge/fragment features to create the graphic I needed.
Agreed!
Just in case we need more votes, count me in for adding this feature.
Need this feature. It will be helpful.
Yes please!
I second this.
This would be so helpful. Adding my vote, and following!
This feature sounds amazing, please add it!
I support this feature! I would use it every time!
Votey vote.
I'm still looking for this feature to be added. Would be amazing.
Definitely! I love the ability to edit shapes/images in Powerpoint, it's a shame that when you port the shapes over that they come across as images.
Count me in as another vote FOR the ability to merge.
