I have several courses that were created prior to my tenure. All I have access to are the published (zip files) content from Storyline. Is there any way to upload or open the zip files in Articulate so that can edit them and so I do not have to recreate them all?
I'm sorry that you're in this situation. Unfortunately, project files can't be extracted from the published files. You can try to reach out to your IT department to see if they still have access to the temp folder on the previous employee's computer.
If you need help with anything else, don't hesitate to reach out.
It's definitely a bummer when source files aren't properly stored for future use...
FYI: You can scrounge in the published courses for images and other media files. Then you can reuse those files when recreating the courses, which should help a little.
Ugh, I am in the same situation @Kristi. The organization I joined didn't have a system for storing old content and when the person in my position before me left, it all pretty much vanished.
It's a hard pill to swallow, but it's live-and-learn for my supervisors to keep better track of that stuff.
