preview and publish slides not matching slide design

Hi there, John.  Could you let us know which version of Storyline you're using (Storyline 2 or 360)?  Also, if you're using Storyline 360, are you publishing for HTML5 only or first?

Our team is working on an issue with Storyline 360 where screen recording actions are not respecting the timeline in Preview (which renders in HTML5) and in the HTML5 published output.  If your project matches those conditions, I'll add this discussion to our report with the QA team, and we'll be able to update this thread with any changes.

If you aren't working under those conditions, tell us a bit more about your setup.  If you can share your file, that'd be great too!  You can use the add attachment button in your reply.

I was able to publish in flash to avoid the screen recording errors.  However, now the right-click trigger doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Is the right click trigger on the base layer of your slide? There was an issue fixed earlier for issues with right click triggers in Storyline 2, but we weren't able to fix it on the slide layers (only the base layer). I haven't seen this issue in Storyline 360 yet - so if you have that occurring, we'll want to take a look at it and get a bit more information.

Hi there- I just wanted to chime in that I was able to successfully use the right click trigger on the base layer of a slide in both the Flash and the HTML5 versions of this sample course.

Hello John - I took a look at the file you shared here.

I found two slides 1.105 and 1.141 that are listed as a right-click trigger as you mentioned above and I can see the instructions on the slide, but there is no trigger on these slides.

I then found slide 2.76 listed as having a right-click trigger, has one defined on slide, and is working for me as expected.

If you could elaborate a bit more on what you are seeing/not seeing - that would certainly be helpful.

Great news! Articulate 360 Update 4  was just released, and included a number of fixes which you can see in the release notes available here, including some general fixes that resolve the behavior you were experiencing here. 

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

The preview of the slide/scene is perfect but as soon as I preview the entire project or publish it the sequence is all wrong :(
