I'm am working with the most recent version of Storyline 360 (May 24, 2022 - 3.64.27845.0). My storyline file is 177 MB but when I publish to LMS the folder grows to 348 MB, and when zipping the folder it goes down to 335 MB. After playing around for a while, I rolled back my storyline software to March 30, 2022 (3.62.27443.0) and the published folder is now at 174MB. So that's good news except that now I can't take advantage of the new Storyline enhancements.
Good news! Today, we just released Storyline 360 Update 66 (Build 3.66.28270.0) which included the fix for the bug where publishing a project with the previous update caused larger file sizes in the published output.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app!

I apologize for the issue you are experiencing with your file size increasing when publishing to your LMS.
We are currently working on a bug where the Published output file size is significantly larger in the latest release (64) of Storyline 360.
In the meantime, you have already discovered the workaround to downgrade your Storyline 360 installation to Update 62.
I’ve added this forum post to the report we have open for it so we can notify you as soon as a fix is released!
