Publishing to MP4 format loses CC

Apr 15, 2019

When I publish an articulate 360 'course' to mp4 format, it loses the closed captions that are tied to the audio.  Is there a setting or any way to avoid this or to correct it?

Hi, all!

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 73, we’ve included important fixes and new features!

One new feature we’ve included:

Boost video accessibility by including closed captions when publishing projects as MP4 video files.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you need additional help!

Hi, Donna!

Right now, closed captions won't be included when you publish Storyline 360 courses to video. For now, we recommend manually creating a comprehensive caption file using another tool. More on how to prepare a course for video publishing here!

I'm happy to share this discussion with our product team, and if this feature gets added to a future update, you'll be the first to know!
