Hoping someone can help me out this evening. I've created my course but forgot to add a summary slide. So of course, when I did that it added it in as scene number 5 when it really should be scene number 4. I found a resolution online by cutting and pasting the scene and also changing the triggers, but the scene itself has not renumbered and is still showing up as scene 5 in the menu, which is not the correct order.
Does anybody have any idea how I can fix this please?
You can look at renaming the scenes or slide and removing numbering all together as shown here. You should also be able to reset the items to match according to your story set up using the button shown below:
Resetting the menu does the following:
Scene/slide titles revert back to the way they appear in your project.
Indent levels will be removed.
New titles that have been added will be removed.
Original scenes/slides that have been deleted will be restored.
Thanks for this. I did try resetting the menu as you suggested but that didn't work either. It seems I wasn't able to re-order until I had deleted all the triggers between the scenes, had them as standalone scenes and then cut and paste them in the right order. So I got there in the end.
Hope this little tip helps others with the same issue.
If you were triggering to specific scenes vs. just the next scene that would make sense as far as moving them around the story view, but within the menu you still should have been able to move. If you've got an issue with the file again, please feel free to share with us here and we're happy to take a look.
I have the same issue with renumbering scenes. I have added a new scene, reorder it in the Player/Menu and updated the triggers, nevertheless, they are still appearing incorrectly. How can I solve this? Please see doc attached.
You can renumber by cut and paste, however it doesn't really matter unless you get an OCD over this sort of things. As long as you correct the menu the user will never know.
Good news! Today, we just released Storyline 360 Update 67 (Build 3.67.28569.0) which included a new feature where you can easily renumber scenes in story view so they appear in the order you want.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app!
