I have 3 slides in my project that the resource tab is not displaying when published. They show up when I preview off from desktop. All the slides are set up the same in the Player features - Custom for the select slide with Resources checked (See image).
Any ideas why only 3 out of 36 slides will not display the Resource tab?
Where are you testing your published output? You'll want to make sure you're testing within the intended environment. Have you tried importing it into a new Storyline project to see if it solved the issue?
When I ''imported it into a new Storyline project,' I lost my glossary and the page numbering I have on quiz slides is not counting correctly (Question %Q1% of %PageCount%). Is this typical behavior?
Also, is there a way to do this and apply my template (screen size and coloring) without having to reprogram everything?
In case anyone runs into the same problem, the issue was resolved by clearing cache in both Chrome and IE. Out of 3 testers, this happened to 2 of them. First time we have experienced this, so I'm thinking the deadline gremlin stricks again!
If you want to re-use the same glossary in another project, an easy way to do that is to save your project as a Storyline template. Then, when you're ready to begin a new project, use that template as your starting point by choosing From project template on the Storyline launch screen. When you repurpose content this way, the player customizations on the template (including any Glossary you've added) become part of the new project. If you later add, delete, or change any of the glossary terms, those changes won't automatically carry over to other projects in which you've used the same template. You'll need to make the same changes in each project.
You're coloring and screen size can also be included as a part of the Storyline template.
Also, I checked on your case and saw that John was unable to reproduce the behavior you've described and shared the following:
Please do the following to see if it resolves the issue you are experiencing:
2) Clear your browser cache. You can do this in Internet Explorer by going to Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files. Select Delete Cookies and Delete Files. 3) Also in Internet Options, on the Security, Privacy, and Advanced tabs, reset everything to its default settings. There is a button on each tab to reset defaults. 4) In Windows Vista / 7, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run. In Windows XP, go to Start > Run. 5) Copy / paste the following line of text (depending on your operating system) into the Run dialog box. Click OK, and delete the entire contents of the window (folder) that opens.
Windows XP: "C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects"
6) Close all browser windows for the changes to take effect. 7) Republish your file to a new empty folder on your desktop. 8) View the course and see if the resources tab is still missing on certain slides.
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing in your project.
I'd recommend checking the slide properties on the slides that are missing the Resources and Glossary Tab. It sounds like custom player settings may be in place there:

Shamless bump for help as this module is going live today!
Hi Cheryl,

If you'd like to share the .story file with us here or share it privately we can test it?
Yes, the module is on our live server. I will try to import into a new Storyline project to see if that works.
I have already submitted a Case with the file. (Case Number: 00364100).
Thanks for the help.
Thanks Cheryl, and I see that John has been assigned to your case and I'll follow along.

I have lost the Resources tab and the Glossary tab on multiple pages. The player is set correctly so what was the resolution for this problem?
Hi Susan,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing in your project.
I'd recommend checking the slide properties on the slides that are missing the Resources and Glossary Tab. It sounds like custom player settings may be in place there:
